Team Overview
The Communications Solutions team is responsible for delivering Trusted Communications Solutions that help businesses and consumers engage with confidence through secure, authenticated, and trusted communications. Building on TransUnion's market-leading success in trusted voice communications, the team is expanding into messaging solutions that enable businesses to increase engagement, strengthen trust, and combat fraud across digital communication channels.This team reports to the Vice President, Product Management, Trusted Communications Solutions and works closely with Product, Technology, Sales, Marketing, Solutions Consulting, and industry partners to bring innovative communications solutions to market. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy, vision, development, and commercialization of TransUnion's messaging solutions portfolio, including SMS, MMS, RCS, and emerging messaging channels.
- Define and scale the next generation of Trusted Communications Solutions by extending proven voice capabilities into messaging experiences that enable secure, trusted business-to-consumer engagement.
- Own the product lifecycle from market assessment and business case development through roadmap creation, pricing, positioning, launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
- Partner with Engineering, Product Marketing, Sales, and Solutions teams to translate business opportunities into scalable product capabilities that drive commercial growth.
- Serve as the organization's messaging subject matter expert, influencing product strategy while educating internal stakeholders on messaging ecosystems, carrier networks, aggregators, and emerging communication technologies.
- Develop competitive positioning and go-to-market strategies that leverage TransUnion's existing customer base and trusted communications platform.
- Engage directly with customers, partners, mobile network operators, aggregators, and industry stakeholders to identify market opportunities and shape product direction.
- Represent TransUnion as a thought leader through customer presentations, conferences, industry summits, and external speaking engagements.
- Monitor market trends, competitive developments, evolving communication technologies, and customer needs to ensure TransUnion remains at the forefront of trusted messaging innovation.
- Drive measurable business growth through new product capabilities, market expansion opportunities, and enhanced customer adoption of messaging solutions.
Required Knowledge and Experiences
- 15+ years of progressive product management experience within telecommunications, communications platforms, messaging, CPaaS, digital communications, or closely related industries, with demonstrated ownership of product strategy and business outcomes.
- Deep expertise in messaging ecosystems, including SMS, MMS, RCS, carrier messaging infrastructure, mobile network operators, aggregators, and enterprise messaging platforms, with the ability to apply that expertise in product development and commercialization.
- Proven experience launching, scaling, and managing messaging products or communication solutions used by enterprise customers for customer engagement, authentication, notifications, or trusted communications.
- Strong understanding of how businesses utilize messaging technologies to improve customer experience, engagement, and communications, paired with a solid foundation in the underlying telecommunications ecosystem.
- Demonstrated ability to partner across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and executive leadership teams to bring new products to market and drive adoption.
- Experience serving as an industry expert, customer-facing advisor, or product evangelist through customer engagement, conferences, presentations, or thought-leadership activities.
- Proven ability to operate independently in highly visible, high-growth environments while balancing strategic vision with hands-on execution.
Required Technical Skills
- Expertise in messaging technologies including SMS (Short Message Service), MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service), and RCS (Rich Communication Services).
- Strong understanding of CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) ecosystems, carrier networks, aggregators, routing, and enterprise messaging infrastructure.
- Experience developing product strategies and solutions that integrate messaging technologies with customer communication platforms, APIs, and enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of product management methodologies, roadmap development, product lifecycle management, and Agile delivery practices.
- Ability to analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive positioning to drive technical and business product decisions.
We're also looking for the preferred skills below.
- Experience working with CPaaS providers such as Twilio, Sinch, Infobip, or similar organizations.
- Experience with OTT messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, iMessage, Messenger, Viber, or Android messaging ecosystems.
- Experience with trusted communications, fraud prevention, identity-related communications, caller authentication, or customer trust solutions.
- Experience within telecommunications carriers, contact center technology providers, or enterprise communications organizations.
- Experience building omnichannel communications experiences that bridge messaging, voice, mobile, and digital engagement channels.
- Experience expanding products into new markets, customer segments, or international geographies.

Pay Scale Information:The U.S. base salary range for this position is $168,750.00 - $281,250 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.TransUnion Overview:
