FactSet’s Procurement group is seeking a Procurement Manager to focus on our Telecommunications spend category.

As Procurement Manager, you will lead a team responsible for the full telecommunications sourcing process—including supplier selection and management, price negotiations, contract execution, timely delivery, and budget planning. You will also address complex organizational needs and serve as a strategic partner and subject matter expert for stakeholders.

You’ll join our global team and work closely with internal clients across both business and support units, while carrying a savings goal and developing into a subject matter expert in Procure to Pay (P2P) processes. You will also contribute to centralizing our procurement function by identifying process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.

What You'll Do

  • Create and implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective
  • Build long-term relationships with vendors
  • Compare proposals for price and specifications
  • Negotiate with vendors to reduce costs
  • Review contract specifications on behalf of the company
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure that the service is executed in a timely fashion
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with critical suppliers
  • Lead transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
  • Prepare procurement reports on workload, savings, and projects fruition
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental rules and regulations

In addition, you'll:

  • Build strong rapport with our most important stakeholders
  • Educate internal requesters about Procurement processes and policies on an ongoing basis
  • Collaborate with peers within the Procurement org to promote any tips & tricks, best practices, etc. that lead to more consistently positive outcomes
  • Represent FactSet at conferences/symposiums
  • Mentor other members of the team,  etc.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelors' degree
  • 8 + years experience in procurement, finance, mathematics, or statistics
  • 3 + years in a procurement leadership role
  • Experience working with the Telecommunications spend category
  • Excellent communication skills; confident presenting to a group
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships, interpersonal skills,
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset/self-starter
  • Knowledge of Workday is a plus

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The budgeted salary amount range for this position in the State of Connecticut and in New York City is $100K- 125K. Please note: the salary range may differ in other locations
