ActiveCampaign is seeking a highly motivated, organized manager to oversee the Company's overall procurement process, from strategic sourcing and vendor management to contract negotiation and purchasing. Reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of software, services and other items necessary for the company's operations, while maintaining quality standards and optimizing efficiency. The Procurement Manager will develop and implement procurement strategies, identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate favorable terms, and work closely with stakeholders across the organization as well as external vendors. Additionally, this role will facilitate, implement, and iterate upon purchasing policies and procedures to improve the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process. You must be able to adapt to changing priorities and business needs, be a self-starter, and must be proactive in identifying areas of need and generating action plans.
What your day could consist of:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives
- Partner closely with engineering, product, IT operations, legal, and finance teams to understand their technology needs and align procurement strategies with business objectives
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible prices and value
- Guide agreements of all sizes through the Ironclad process in a timely manner - simultaneously managing and prioritizing multiple agreements/projects with varying deadlines
- Onboard new vendors and ensure required information is gathered and properly maintained
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers, partner with functional business owners to optimize relationships with existing vendors and source and select new vendors when appropriate
- Lead implementation of a purchase order system
- Responsible for the company's global insurance program, including managing the relationship with the insurance broker, coordinating data gathering for the insurance renewal and various other responsibilities
- Other duties as assigned by management
What is needed:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field
- Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, C.P.M.) a plus
- 7+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing
- Proven experience in contract negotiation and vendor management
- Proficient in various software applications such as, NetSuite, IronClad, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and/or other procurement related software
- Ability to effectively negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the finance and accounting lifecycles from forecasting through payment
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment
