Job Description

The Product Data Specialist will be responsible for leading our efforts to create, update, standardize, maintain, and ensure the integrity of our product data utilized across the organization. The candidate will also be responsible for developing and supporting strategies to use this data effectively internally and externally. The candidate will also be responsible for synthesizing current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action. Additional responsibilities include the following: Act as the lead data specialist for the Mechanical SBU North America branch plants. Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related spreadsheets, or outputs. Maintain or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods. Works with the sales team to ensure new product inquiries and capabilities align and customer requirements are met. Offers input and develops strategies to improve data to better serve customers. Create, maintain, organize, and update product data for our internal systems and databases. Maintain library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets. Develop and implement standard work for common product attributes, optimizing our databases. Create business intelligence tools such as spreadsheets, or outputs. Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that intelligence is consistent with defined needs. Responsible for setup of new part numbers, updates and corrections to existing part numbers, product data, bills of materials, and spec approvals. Develop and implement strategies to use data to the fullest, supporting customers, commercial efforts, marketing, internal systems, and more. Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that intelligence is consistent with defined needs. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.

Annual salary: $76,336. Benefits: Medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; short-term and long-term disability insurance; 401k; paid time off; paid holidays; and any leave required under federal, state, or local law. Benefits are subject to vesting and eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Requires at least a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, Data Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Must possess 2 years of experience with each of the following: data management; conducting product strategy and road mapping; product lifecycle management; managing cross functional collaboration with teams to align strategy and execution; conducting in-depth market research, competitive benchmarking, and synthesizing critical customer feedback; utilizing the practice of Voice of Customer (VOC) to analyze customer feedback and improve product and customer experience; managing end-to-end product data migration and transition; building a robust and scalable product data infrastructure; utilizing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM); ensuring data integrity; advanced google analytics; user story mapping; sprint planning; and agile methodologies.
