How does this role contribute to our collective success?
 

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this role drives transformation and optimization across AXIS Global Operations teams. It ensures alignment between business needs and delivery teams, supporting strategic goals and improving operational efficiency through agile product ownership.
 

What will you do in this role?

  • Define and communicate a product vision and roadmap aligned with AXIS strategy and stakeholder needs.

  • Lead operational readiness for product launches, ensuring systems and processes are aligned.

  • Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria for agile delivery teams.

  • Manage and prioritize the Operations product backlog to focus on high-impact initiatives.

  • Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups with delivery teams.

  • Track and report Agile delivery metrics to monitor team performance and product impact.

  • Champion Agile principles and coach team members on best practices and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure user feedback is continuously gathered and integrated into product iterations.

  • Empower cross-functional teams to make decisions and deliver value independently.

  • Use Agile tools to manage backlogs, track progress, and communicate priorities.

You may also be required to take on additional duties, responsibilities, and activities appropriate to the nature of this role.

About You

What you need to have:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Insurance with minimum 3 years of experience as a Product Owner in an Agile environment

  • Background in Operations transformation and insurance systems integration.

  • Knowledge of P&C Commercial and Specialty lines, including North American and Global Operations.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to express complex ideas clearly and visually.

  • Familiarity with Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.

What we prefer you to have:

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification.

  • Experience with AI tools in Specialty Insurance Operations.

Role Factors
 

In this role, you will typically be required to:

  • Be in the office a minimum of 3 days per week

  • Travel internationally as needed

What we offer
 

We expect to offer a base salary between for $175,000 and $260,000. Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.

You will also receive incentive compensation based on performance.

This role is Exempt for FLSA purposes.
