The Product Owner’s primary responsibility is product planning and execution of our initiatives in alignment with the product management team. This role works closely with engineering, sales, and marketing to meet revenue and customer satisfaction goals. 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Product Management to execute on vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities are clearly defined and stakeholder needs are accurately represented
  • Translate user needs into clear, actionable JIRA tickets
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria that are clear, testable, and aligned to business objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams on a routine basis to identify product needs and prioritizations
  • Support Engineering efforts in release planning, backlog refinement, execution and delivery timelines
  • Participate in testing and validation of new features to ensure functionality meets quality requirements
  • Partner with QA to ensure acceptance criteria accurately support test creation
  • Monitor feature adoption and gather feedback to inform improvements and refinements  
  • Serve as primary liaison, facilitating requirement discussions between Engineering and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer workflows, operational processes, and healthcare business needs
  • Advocate for end-user experience throughout development lifecycles
  • Escalate issues and recommendations to the Product Management as needed
  • Collaborate with Finance and other teams as needed to support business cases and ROI analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • Experience in project management or product lifestyle including ownership of backlog, prioritization, requirements and releases required
  • Experience with presenting to upper management 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter  
  • Able to break down complex technical problems and processes 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrate an intellectual curiosity to explore why and when behind clinical decisions

Mental and Physical Demands

  • This position will be exposed mainly to an indoor/office environment and will be expected to work in or around computers and printers.
  • The nature of the work is sedentary, and the employee will be sitting most of the time.
  • Essential physical functions of the job include typing and the repetitive motion to utilize computer software and hardware continuously throughout the day.
  • Essential mental functions of this position include concentrating on analytical tasks, reading information, and verbal/written communication to others continuously throughout the day.
