The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:

$108,000.00 - $162,000.00

Purpose Statement:  The Product Engineering Manager role is responsible as the key liaison between manufacturing and the customer, ensuring that overall customer quality and regulatory requirements and expectations are met and product meets all specifications.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Lead the capture of customer requirements, determination of BOM structure, and development of the Product Control Plan. Define product ABI's and tooling strategy. Ensure manufacturing readiness of assigned customer product using the APQP process.

  • Serve as the technical expert for customer inquiries, lead design for manufacturability discussions, and assist the customer in resolving problems, coordinating for SME support as needed.

  • Conduct product-level improvement efforts to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Support efforts to identify root causes of failures and develop short- and long-term action plans for CAPA.

  • Provide routine technical support to manufacturing personnel, answer technical questions, and lead real-time analysis and resolution of customer/product related problems. Make decisions on rework versus scrap as needed by operations.

  • Responsible to exemplify and hold their team accountable to demonstrating the Plexus Core Values. Leader will focus on evaluating potential, driving succession planning, and ensuring their employees receive the development and coaching required to realize their full potential.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5 or more years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
