About the Department

​The section of Pediatric Infectious Disease provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for children suffering from a wide variety of infectious diseases. Infectious disease specialists are experts in diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. This position will be with ECHO-Chicago.

The Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes Chicago (ECHO-Chicago) is an innovative workforce development model designed to “move knowledge, not patients” to strengthen delivery of community-based primary care so that patients receive the right care, at the right place, at the right time. ECHO leverages Zoom to bring together subject matter experts from academic medical centers or other specialty sites of care and community-based providers to engage in curriculum driven training and telementoring that focuses on building providers’ practical knowledge and skills in implementing evidence-based best practices. Specialty care providers host series comprised of 6-18 weekly sessions, delivered via zoom, designed to train primary care providers to manage complex chronic diseases and conditions. ECHO-Chicago’s series portfolio has spanned nearly 50 content areas, including adolescent health, behavioral health integration, childhood adversity and trauma, complex diabetes, complex pediatric asthma, COVID-19, geriatrics, hepatitis C, maternal health, opioid use disorder, palliative care, pediatric ADHD and autism, pediatric issues in primary care and schools, resistant hypertension, serious mental illness, suicide prevention, weight management in children and adults, and women’s health. ECHO-Chicago is based in the Department of Pediatrics and works to address issues of healthcare access in adults and children living in underserved communities. 

Job Summary

The Project Coordinator (PC) is responsible for promoting the ECHO-Chicago vision and implementing new and existing ECHO-Chicago series, including working with faculty from UCM and other academic medical centers to develop the curriculum, recruiting new providers, conducting evaluations, and managing weekly telementoring sessions. The PC also provides technical support for technology and connectivity, working to resolve issues and ensure we follow best practices. The PC will work with the Director of Operations to plan and implement research and evaluation to assess the impact and value of ECHO telementoring. They will be responsible for managing data, conducting preliminary analysis, and preparing data reports for ECHO-Chicago leadership. The PC will apply experience and skills to contribute to the development of grant and research proposals, the preparation of presentations, social media, curricular materials, and the operations of ECHO-Chicago sessions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for task leadership and sub-task management for telementoring sessions, collaborate with facilitators to schedule sessions, and work with the team to finalize evaluation tools.   
• ​Coordinates telementoring sessions and provide pre- and post-session administrative support for program facilitators and community providers related to the telementoring sessions.   ​
• Provides technical assistance to community providers for participation in telementoring sessions and manages communication with community partners and providers.  
• ​Facilitates the collection and management of project related data from participating community partner sites.   
• ​Provides administrative support including documentation of session attendance and activities, sending meeting reminders and session’s summaries, maintaining calendars, and providing other logistical support to the ECHO-Chicago program.  
• ​Assists with promoting program milestones and activities on social media accounts to increase engagement.   ​
• Helps collect qualitative feedback from participants.
• ​Uses moderate/solid understanding and experience to administer the delivery of services to program participants and/or beneficiaries.
• Has moderate/high levels of interactions with faculty, researchers and staff for committee work or information.
• Performs other related work as needed. 

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

• ​​Master’s degree (MS, MPH) in public health, epidemiology, or health services research ​. 

Experience:

• ​​4 years in project coordination, planning, and/or management in public health, epidemiology, human or health services field . 
• ​4 years working on developing educational materials for CME purposes.  
• ​At least 1 years with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Trello, etc.)   
• ​At least 4 years  with web-based data management tools (e.g. REDCap, Survey Monkey, Google Forms, etc.)   
• ​At least 2 years hosting and managing Zoom meetings, including breakout. room facilitation, participant management, screen sharing, polling, recording, and technical troubleshooting.

• ​​Self-motivated, deadline-oriented, collaborative, and thrives in fast-paced environment . ​
• Candidate must be flexible, comfortable with uncertainty, and able to effectively set own priorities and juggle several complex tasks at once.  
• ​Commitment to community-based health, evidence of enthusiasm to work with and facilitate participation of community partners (specifically physicians and mid-level providers at community FQHCs). 
• ​Strong interpersonal and communications skills.  
• ​Commitment to team-based approach to projects, and able to work with executive, clinical, and academic staff  ​Able to learn and master new technology quickly.  

Working Conditions

• ​​Requires some domestic travel.   
• ​Hybrid environment allowing remote work and work with remote stakeholder.
