Remote position available, Chicago local preferred

Buying hospital equipment involves more than choosing a product. Clinical teams identify needs, finance sets budgets, supply chain manages purchasing, and suppliers provide quotes. Those steps often happen in separate spreadsheets, inboxes, and systems.

OpenMarkets helps connect that work. CapConnect supports capital planning and approvals, Formulary helps employees find approved equipment and request quotes, and Optimizer provides sourcing and negotiation support.

We’re hiring an Account Executive to bring OpenMarkets to more hospitals and health systems.

What you’ll work on

You’ll own new business opportunities from the first conversation through a signed agreement. Our growth has relied heavily on relationships and referrals; you’ll help build a more consistent way to identify and win new customers.

That starts with understanding where a hospital’s process breaks down. Are equipment standards difficult to find? Are departments requesting quotes independently? Does finance struggle to see what’s coming through the capital budget? You’ll work with the people involved to understand the problem and build a case for change.

You’ll:

  • Research target accounts and open conversations through relevant outreach, introductions, relationships, and events.
  • Lead discovery and demonstrations that connect OpenMarkets to the prospect’s workflow.
  • Build relationships across supply chain, finance, clinical engineering, clinical departments, and leadership.
  • Guide evaluations through stakeholder decisions, technical reviews, procurement, and contracting.
  • Keep next steps and forecasts current in HubSpot and prepare a clear handoff to Customer Success.
  • Use what you learn from buyers to improve our outreach, messaging, and sales process.

What you’ll bring

You’ve generated your own opportunities, from scratch, and closed deals involving multiple stakeholders. You can get beyond a general expression of interest to understand the business problem, who owns it, and what it will take to make a decision.

You write relevant outreach, ask thoughtful questions, and follow through. Experience selling healthcare technology or complex B2B software is helpful.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll work directly with our sales leader on account strategy and active deals. Customer Success brings experience with hospital workflows, while Product, implementation, and data colleagues contribute expertise on capabilities, configuration, reporting, and integrations.

You’ll have existing customer relationships and sales materials to build on. You’ll also be responsible for creating opportunities rather than relying on a steady flow of inbound leads.

Success means winning new hospital customers and building a qualified pipeline with clear next steps and credible forecasts.
