The Quality Control Analyst is responsible for conducting independent quality control reviews of company accounts to evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and adherence of underwriting and operational activities to established policies, procedures, and documentation standards

The Quality Control Analyst performs detailed QC audits, documents findings and exceptions, identifies potential errors or process gaps, and escalates findings requiring additional review to Quality Control management. The role supports the overall effectiveness of the Quality Control program by providing accurate, consistent, and well-documented audit results.

This is an in-person position that can be based out of one of our offices located in Denver, CO, Las Vegas, NV, Rosemont, IL or Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:             
  • Perform detailed quality control audits of company accounts using established QC procedures, review criteria, and audit tools.
  • Review underwriting decisions, due diligence, account documentation, case information, agreements, payment terms, and other relevant account data for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established requirements.
  • Clearly document audit results, findings, exceptions, and supporting information in designated QC tools and records.
  • Apply QC standards consistently and exercise sound judgment when evaluating potential errors, discrepancies, or exceptions.
  • Escalate significant, unusual, or unclear findings to QC management for review and determination.
  • Support the identification of recurring errors, trends, process gaps, and potential areas of risk through observations identified during QC reviews.
  • Participate in discussions with QC management and business partners to clarify findings and promote consistent application of policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and refinement of QC procedures, checklists, audit tools, and reviewer resources.
  • Support validation or follow-up reviews when additional review of audit findings is required.
  • Maintain organized and accurate QC documentation in accordance with established recordkeeping practices.
  • Participate in system, process, or procedural changes by providing feedback from a QC and reviewer perspective.
  • Serve as a resource to other QC reviewers and assist with reviewer consistency and knowledge sharing, as needed.
  • Complete assigned QC reviews within established timelines while maintaining accuracy and thoroughness.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in underwriting, quality control, auditing, operations, or a related function within consumer funding, healthcare, legal, insurance, or a similar industry.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting, due diligence, documentation, and operational processes.
  • Knowledge of applicable privacy, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and evaluate information across multiple documents and systems.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to apply established standards consistently while exercising appropriate judgment when unusual circumstances arise.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage assigned reviews and meet established deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly document and explain QC findings.
  • Experience working with case management, document management, or similar operational systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting or data-analysis tools.
  • Prior experience performing quality control reviews or audits is preferred.
