About The Opportunity
The Quality Lead ensures that all finished goods produced meet customer specifications and requirements by effectively training Quality Team members and leading their work, as well as enforcing compliance with GMPs and internal SOPs. This position is responsible for participating in, facilitating, or performing audits to ensure customer conformance to specifications and that expectations are met.Essential Functions:
Represent the Quality Department in a positive and consistent manner
Thoroughly understand and be able to perform regular Quality Audits in production lines
Complete required documentation correctly and accurately
Train Quality Team in their functions
Ensure and manage proper distribution of workload for Quality Team
Follow, train, and enforce company processes and procedures
Participate in and/or facilitate internal/external audits
Responsible for verification of all production records (PTS) cross shift
Create UPC labels based on item numbers to generate bar codes
Print/Coordinate print code dates and distribute for shift as necessary
Maintain blank label inventory
Verify-Release IRC/Tear Pads
Perform investigations to determine possible reason for variances
Document NCRs and perform root cause analysis for completion
Responsible for verification of work packets (based on customer specifications)
Submit samples to customers as necessary
Coordinate scrap/reclaim/repairs and scrap shipments
Coordinate SSR process and control paperwork
Coordinate rework process and set up in the system
Properly complete departmental documentation and data such as logs
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

3-6 months related experience or training
Additional Knowledge and Skills:
Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business
Ability to work on a rotating shift as needed
Ability to effectively work in teams
Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals associated with subject matter, as well as communicate findings to other quality representatives
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple and/or complex/highly detailed tasks
Must be detail oriented and pay close attention to accuracy
Ability to apply commonsense understanding and communicate accurately to carry out detailed instructions (both verbal and written)
Ability to analyze information gathered in order to maintain accurate and detailed records using both computerized and manual means
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to communicate accurately, clearly and concisely in written, verbal and electronic formats
Ability to independently, or with minimum supervision, write routine reports, correspondence and prepare various levels of documents and reports
Ability to establish and maintain very effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job
Ability to read and write using the English language.
The expected salary range for this position is $20/hour. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance; basic term life, AD&D, Short- and Long-term disability; EAP; 401(k) retirement savings plan; PTO and paid holidays.
