Responsiv Overview
Responsiv is at the forefront of the legal AI revolution. The legal industry—historically slow to embrace technological change—stands on the cusp of unprecedented transformation, and we're leading the charge. As AI reshapes how legal work gets done, we're building the tools that will define this new era.

Backed by Greylock and OnDean Forward (Andrew Sieja, founder of Relativity).

What we do
Responsiv helps organizations stay ahead of regulatory change. Laws and regulations are constantly evolving—and for businesses in regulated industries, keeping up isn't optional. We build AI that understands how the regulatory landscape is shifting and maps those changes to what businesses actually need to do about it. Our platform monitors regulatory updates, identifies what matters to each organization, and surfaces the gaps between new requirements and existing compliance programs.

Regulatory Data Associate Overview
The Regulatory DataAssociate is the bridge between the law and the product. You’ll translate evolving regulations into clear specs, truth sets, and demos, then partner with engineering to ship features that stand up to expert scrutiny. You’ll also face the market—pressure-testing the product with customers, explaining decisions, and driving root-cause analyses when we can do better. Embedded within our product organization, you will help set the bar for the industry—turning regulatory insight into shippable breakthroughs that move our roadmap and the market.

Product: Define What “Great” Looks Like
  • Own our Truth Set: Establish and maintain a gold-standard benchmark for each module’s performance and ensure consistency and accuracy across all outputs. This includes drafting comprehensive, long-form regulatory memos to cover regulatory research, requirements extraction, gap analysis, and other platform areas. You'll review our horizon scanner alerts and our regulatory topic maps. Continuously refine these truth sets based on emerging regulations, industry best practices, and user feedback.
  • Structured & Unstructured Feedback: Act as the “user champion” by reviewing and critiquing preliminary versions of the software. Use quantitative scorecards (e.g., accuracy, relevance, comprehensiveness) to evaluate new model updates.

Own the Root Cause Analysis Process
  • When a model can be improved, drive the end-to-end investigation. Assess whether the correct sources were identified, the right information was extracted, and if the the summarized output was complete and accurate. Work with engineering to define corrective actions, and write clear and thorough customer responses.

Be a Market-Facing Thought Leader
  • Engage with Customers & Prospects: Join calls to uncover compliance pain points, align on expectations, and showcase Responsiv’s domain expertise. Clearly communicate the product’s value in addressing specific regulatory challenges.
  • Represent Responsiv at Industry Events: Participate in key conferences, panels, and roundtables. Build relationships with compliance executives, gather market insights, and bolster Responsiv’s thought leadership.

Product Marketing: Own the Demo
  • Build Industry-Specific Demos: Partner with product marketing to develop comprehensive demo environments—complete with synthetic real-world data—for various industries (e.g., Private Equity, Tier 1 Banks, Tier 2 Banks).
  • Show how Responsiv’s platform addresses each sector’s unique regulatory obligations, highlighting the real-world impact of our software.

Operate well in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) with admission to at least one U.S. jurisdiction or practical experience in Compliance or as a Paralegal at a relevant organization

  • Technical Collaboration: Comfort working with complex products
  • Exceptional Communication: Ability to articulate complex regulatory scenarios in an accessible, solution-oriented manner to internal and external stakeholders.

At Responsiv, our core values are not just words on a page; they are the guiding principles that shape our culture, define our actions, and propel us towards our vision.

  • Advocate like you're right. Listen like you're wrong. We communicate ideas with both passion and humility. We are all responsible for innovation and believe that ideas can come from anyone.
  • Practice extreme ownership: With ownership comes accountability. Deliver on your commitments and take individual responsibility for the team’s successes and failures.
  • Measure success: Having clarity on what success looks like is critical to its achievement. Make sure the measurements are meaningful. ·
  • Make an impact: Iterate quickly. Speed over Perfection. Results over Activity.
  • Do more with less: We value efficiency and resourcefulness. Quality is not dictated by the quantity of resources, but how effectively they are used.
  • Celebrate the wins. Acknowledge the losses. Both are important signals to help us steer the ship. Give meaning to the hard work by recognizing the moments, milestones, stories and people in our joint success.
