We deliver integrated ecosystem solutions, including In-Car Video, Body-Worn Cameras, License Plate Recognition (LPR) Software, Aerial Drone Technology and Evidence Management Software. By ensuring our government partners have seamless access to state-of-the-art video capture and intelligence tools, we help to provide safety and operational clarity for officers and the communities they serve.
Job Description

At Motorola Solutions, everything starts with safety. As an Account Manager specializing in Government Video Renewals and Refreshes, you will drive customer retention and revenue growth across a multi-state territory. You are the essential link ensuring law enforcement and government agencies maintain continuous, updated access to vital technology in the moments that matter.

In this quota-carrying role, you will proactively engage existing clients to manage subscription renewals, coordinate hardware refresh cycles, and identify strategic upsell opportunities. Balancing high-volume customer touchpoints with cross-functional execution, you will collaborate with Sales, Communications, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to help to ensure operational excellence. Whether conducting methodical analysis in Salesforce or building trust directly with clients, your work directly supports our mission of creating safer communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth by actively identifying, negotiating, and closing subscription renewals, hardware refreshes, and solution upsells across an assigned multi-state territory

  • Execute outbound engagement through structured telephone, email, and digital campaigns to reach accounts with expiring or upcoming software licenses

  • Maintain pipeline integrity by managing active opportunities, customer contact records, and precise forecasting within Motorola Solutions’ Salesforce CRM

  • Collaborate across organizations with Field Sales, Sales Overlays, Customer Support Manager and Customer Support Advocates to streamline multi-channel efforts and maximize satisfaction for both current and future clients

  • Manage hardware refresh lifecycles by proactively engaging 15-20 government customers per month to finalize delivery schedules, go-live plans, and expansion options

  • Coordinate supply chain alignment to manage timing, delivery expectations, and system updates between the customer and internal logistics teams

  • Process backend documentation accurately in administrative systems to help to ensure active customer subscriptions and licensing rights are correctly reflected

  • Master mobile video offerings including technical specifications, value messaging, and competitive positioning for In-Car Video, Body-Worn Cameras, License Plate Recognition (LPR) Software, Aerial Drone Technology and Evidence Management Software. 

  • Collaborate across organizations with Field Sales, Customer Service, and Operations to streamline multi-channel efforts and maximize customer satisfaction

  • Deliver customer support applying best-in-class service standards to maintain long-term account health and retention

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • OR 2+ years of experience in inside sales, technical sales, customer success or account management

  • Product Knowledge to rapidly learn, articulate, and present technical features of mobile video, body-worn camera systems, and software licensing models

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration working with supply chain, customer service, and field sales teams to solve operational bottlenecks

  • Customer Service Excellence demonstrating high-touch support skills to maintain account retention and satisfaction

  • Experience working with state, local, or government law enforcement sales cycles preferred

  • Background in SaaS renewals, hardware refresh cycles, or technology subscription management

  • This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers

Location/Travel:

  • Preferred candidates will live in Chicago, Chicago Suburbs, Dallas or Dallas Suburbs

  • Travel up to 10% in the territory

  • Schedule: This is a Hybrid position and will require the candidate to work on site 2 to 3 days per week

Target Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
