Job Summary

As a member of the Commercial Operations Team, this role plays a critical part in developing and driving renewal and outreach strategies. Operating within a fast-paced environment that prioritizes accountability, the successful candidate will bring a wealth of prior SaaS experience, extensive knowledge of the public sector, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical capabilities, a genuine passion for our customers’ success, and a drive to introduce innovative technology within the government sector.

Responsibilities
  • Execute a comprehensive renewals playbook to streamline the renewal process and improve overall customer retention

  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Sales teams to create targeted outreach and engagement campaigns, ensuring timely renewals

  • Prepare pricing schedules and effectively negotiate pricing with customers, aiming for successful and mutually beneficial agreements

  • Work closely with internal Legal and Finance teams to draft and execute renewal contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements

  • Maintain and update accurate renewals forecasts, proactively identifying any potential risks or challenges, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop effective resolution strategies

  • Engage in cross-functional collaboration with various teams to gather essential documentation and resources required for maintaining organizational performance metrics

Requirements and Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Sales, Account Management, Deal Desk, or Customer Success, preferably within small to later-stage SaaS companies.

  • Demonstrated success in thriving within a fast-paced, dynamic, and high-growth technology environment.

  • Proficient in contract verification, maintaining data integrity of all quotes, and reviewing terms and conditions to ensure renewal subscriptions align with company guidelines and policies.

  • Ability to effectively manage account team deal desk requests and lead renewal/commercial negotiation discussions.

  • Possess a positive attitude, high level of motivation, and a genuine passion for business development.

  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), with the ability to articulate technical subjects to non-technical end-users in large enterprises.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is highly preferred.

Compensation:

Chicago, IL: $63,000 - $70,000

On target ranges above include base plus a portion of variable compensation that is earned based on company and individual performance.

 

The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate’s geographical location.
