Job Summary

In the Cognition Emotion Neuroscience Laboratory (CENSL) studies the overlap between cognitive and emotional neural systems, with a major focus on psychotic disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains recruiting and scheduling research subjects; assists with developing or amending study protocols; assists with developing data collection tools; assists with building databases; and provides general administrative support.

  • Has general awareness in research techniques or methods, regulatory policies and procedures, and relevant scientific field.

  • Coordinates and supports the day-to-day activities of research projects and ongoing studies.

  • Supports the collection, organization, and analysis of research data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of research and some clinical research data.

  • Performs various aspects of clinical research, such as collecting and processing specimens, interviewing subjects, taking vital signs, and contributing to the case report.

  • Performs EEG, eye-tracking, and MRI data collection and maintains associated data.

  • Reviews protocols and provides information to the care team on adjusting treatments based on individual patient needs.

  • Coordinates and may participate in quality assurance reviews conducted by study sponsors, federal agencies, or specially designated review groups.

  • Analyzes study-related documentation, such as protocol worksheets, procedural manuals, adverse event reports, institutional review board documents, or progress reports.

  • Must have reliable transportation as this position requires travel to multiple research locations.

  • Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.

  • Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.

  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.


Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

  • Bachelor's in field relevant to the research (Psychology).

Experience:

  • Experience with clinical assessment.

  • Experience with programming or script-driven data analyses.

  • Experience with human subjects behavioral testing.
