Our Channel Growth Executive for New Business focuses on prospecting new business opportunities, talking with decision-makers, analyzing their needs, and effectively delivering value-added solutions for new brokers, distributors, and partners.  This natural deal closer will be a significant contributor to SPINS’ overall growth and profitability and responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, building, and managing new client relationships with new brokers, distributors, and partners. The role requires a sole focus on new business development, by engaging with well-established companies that are currently not working with SPINS.

What You Will Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, cultivate and close new prospects
  • Execute sales plans to achieve new annualized contract value
  • Input and maintain leads and client activity in Salesforce CRM software
  • Relentlessly follow up with potential leads to ensure booked meetings
  • Cultivate new leads through cold-calling and other prospecting methods
  • Exceed defined sales goals through strategic account planning, networking, and use of company resources
  • Provide top-notch customer service and follow through at all times
  • Participate in kick-off meetings, handoff meetings, and any other meetings that will help transition the new client to the account team
  • Create genuine value for clients to help grow SPINS’ capabilities and positive reputation
  • Maintain thorough understanding of SPINS’ solutions and tailor presentations to meet the needs of different types of manufacturers

 What You Bring

Education and Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 4-6 years sales experience required, preferably selling to “cold leads”
  • Experience with the CPG industry preferred
  • Preferably knowledgeable about analytics and has experience with Nielsen, IRI, etc. is a plus
  • Strong foundation for strategic and tactical selling of a solutions sale
  • Highly evolved presentation and negotiation skills
  • Motivated to advance growth in an entrepreneurial, rapidly growing company environment
  • Proven track record in software solution selling; start-up experience is preferred
  • Experience using CRM systems – Salesforce a plus
  • Super organized and HIGHLY detailed oriented
  • Possesses professional communication skills, with the ability to write friendly, clear, eloquent emails and conduct numerous daily phone calls with ease
  • Self-motivated, and a Self Starter – the team is small, the goals are large
  • A desire to grow and learn
  • Not afraid to ask questions
