Primary Responsibilities
The Director of Sales - Amazon will lead the team responsible for managing and cultivating KeHE Distributors eCommerce presence specifically by developing strategy and growing sales and a larger presence with Amazon Fresh warehouses and Brick and Mortar Stores. This role entails detail-oriented partnering on key sales initiatives, setting short- and long-term strategy and goals, developing business relationships and opportunities, leveraging cross-functional and organizational resources, and managing key profit drivers to achieve financial goals. Essential Functions
- Leads the Amazon Fresh strategy for KeHE Distributors.
- Has ownership of the identification of new customer business development opportunities and the planning, forecasting, implementation, and execution of related business development strategies.
- Develops and executes on new and existing sales plans and programs that ensure the sales and profitability.
- Develops and analyzes customer and/or partner potential with KeHE sales teams to implement action plans for revenue growth.
- Identifies and implements business development metrics and reporting to ensure progress and compliance.
- Maintains high degree of awareness of competitor's strategies and programs.
- Captures and disseminates information on new customer prospects, programs, and other areas for new growth.
- Contributes to education and knowledge about what is evolving or trending in eCommerce.
- Establishes and maintains effective communications with all KeHE employees.
- Attends professional meetings, trade shows and seminars.
- Maintains good attendance, safe work practices and safeguards of confidential company information
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook skills.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Demonstrated strength in communications, conducting effective meetings or presentations and strong negotiation skills
- P&L Responsibility
- Ability to travel as needed and work flexible hours, including some weekends if needed
- Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals, establish credibility and contribute to a collaborative work environment, including leading a team and interacting with all levels of an organization.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
- Five (5) or more years in a relevant eCommerce or Amazon sales related role required.
- Experience in a startup environment helpful.
- Distribution experience helpful.
