Inside Sales Manager
The position.
At Root, the customer is at the heart of all we do. Our Sales team is the gateway to our customers first impressions and directly shapes both our customer experience and their product relationship. We’re looking to grow our sales team with a talented leader who can:
What you’ll be doing.
- Lead and mentor a team of Sales Leaders and ensure sales operations are performing to expectations
- Identify staffing trends to initiate hiring, promotion, transfer needs
- Provides expertise to team in educating, advising, and consulting potential customers on coverage choices and product offerings
- Provide in the moment coaching/feedback to team members, as well as ongoing formal performance reviews where you will implement actionable advice to improve team results
- Review data analytics to ensure sales targets are being met
- Communicate data trends, both team performance and product performance, to Sr Manager of ISA and other key stakeholders
- Provide recommendations to improve internal tools, product/app, marketing and the overall customer buying experience
- Establish, promote and maintain a culture dedicated to unbreaking the sales experience every day by instilling a trusted buying experience for our customers
- Onboarding/Training for Inside Sales Agents
- Lead strategy development to improve customer satisfaction delivery and streamline organizational alignment
What we’re looking for.
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management, or related field
- 3-4 years of sales or customer service leadership experience or equivalent, insurance background preferred
- P&C License (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment)
- Sales mentality with a desire and commitment to helping our customers
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume call environment
- Ability to handle responsibilities and assignments with limited oversight
- Excellent written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to be timely, patient, and attentive to customer needs and requests
- Friendly disposition with natural ability to read customers and use active listening to determine needs
- Willing to go the extra mile attitude
- Willingness to learn and ability to gain deep knowledge of the insurance product and smartphone app
- Detail oriented with affinity for multi-tasking
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suites
