Position Overview:
The Manager of Solutions Consulting is the primary coach for a team of solution consultants with a focus on retaining, developing, and career planning. In addition to these responsibilities the Manager of Solutions Consulting is a key technical partner of the Paylocity sales force, with a focus on support of sales growth and initiatives.

Reports To: Director, Solutions Consulting
Responsibilities:

  • Develops team members by understanding their career path and aligning training to reach those goals.
  • Evaluates team members through direct observation, peer feedback, sales feedback, and other collection mechanisms.
  • Creates a work climate that attracts, retains and motivates team to reach high quality standards, coaching more junior members.
  • Develops team by providing mentoring, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
  • Creates an established chain of command for all escalations.
  • Conducts bi-weekly 1-1 with direct reports and team meetings.
  • Manages day to day functions including statistical analysis of activity, resource management, and solution consulting workload.
  • Reports on key performance metrics that help our sales partners focus on performance drivers.
  • Establishes healthy relationships with aligned sales leaders to ensure business objectives are being met.
  • Articulates department and corporate goals clearly to the team.
  • Ensures appropriate resource alignment to ensure appropriate skillsets are used in the sales process for the best chance of success.
  • Engages in complex calls to support team members or offer expertise.
  • Assists with coordinating resources to help develop appropriate Paylocity Learning and Development curriculum.
  • Ensures the solutions consultant team can provide proof points with relevant customer stories.
  • Achieves assigned metrics on an annual basis for all direct and indirect reports.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of sales and/or technical experience.
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in HCM Solutions Consultant role or an equivalent leadership position.
  • Team management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects to completion.
  • Ability to articulate and logically communicate complex solutions.
  • Track record of delivering results.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, follow up on commitments, and act when appropriate.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position in Colorado is $103,130 - $137,569/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for our variable commission plan, annual bonus, and restricted stock until grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
