Cribl is a fast-growing, remote-first company with a mission to unlock the value of all observability data. At our core, we believe in shipping phenomenal products and doing good by our customers and communities. We provide our customers with a new and unprecedented level of observability, intelligence, and control over their real-time data. We're backed by Sequoia and CRV, and our products are deployed in some of the largest organizations in the world processing 100s of TB and PB of IT & Security data, and managed by Site Reliability Engineers, System Engineers, and Technical Operations teams.

We’re looking for an experienced Business/Sales Development leader to build a team of BDRs within the Revenue Marketing organization. This is a rare, hands-on opportunity in which you will be empowered to build, lead, and manage a team, establishing a strong, scalable foundation from an early stage.

Our business development team will be responsible for outbound and inbound opportunity development, acting as the top-of-the-funnel muscle in our pipeline engine, with a heavy focus on cold calling to build account intelligence and uncover opportunities. This team will also work hand-in-hand with our Account Executives to qualify new business meetings and grow into new markets.

As the Director of this team, you will work closely with senior leadership across the organization to establish priorities, create and align on OKR's, and consistently obtain pipeline quota achievements to meet aggressive revenue goals on a monthly basis. Additionally, in this role you will work closely with our demand generation team to execute marketing campaigns to drive pipeline creation and have ownership of inbound leads. This role will carry a team quota for sales meetings and will be hands-on and multifaceted as we continue to scale the BDR organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Build out the BDR team, including hiring, training, onboarding, and mentoring
  • Develop BDR plans for outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification to meet and exceed quotas
  • Manage the team to produce a high-level of daily activity including calls and email communications
  • Set up Lead follow up processes, cadences and SLAs
  • Establish and track goals, objectives and performance metrics with members of your team and perform regular reviews
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Enable and work closely with the Sales team to help improve the qualification & hand-off process
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to key stakeholders across sales & marketing on volume & quality statistics on SALs, conversion metrics, and outbound playbook effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, thinks strategically, wants to build as much as sell, and is willing to get his/her hands dirty
  • Fascinated by technology and passionate about selling groundbreaking ideas and products in a fast-paced startup environment
  • 5-8 years sales and sales management experience
  • Proven track record that is consistent in quota attainment, performance and growth.
  • Is deeply familiar with systems like Salesforce, Outreach.io, and ZoomInfo
  • Has strong organizational, project management, and analytic skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and phone skills

Bonus points:

  • No fear! Speak your mind
  • Good jokes, or maybe better, bad jokes
  • A love for goats
