Job Description

As a new retail landscape continues to emerge, the divide between online and offline continues to blur. We are all omnishoppers now - turning to multiple platforms/channels to meet our everyday needs. At Nielsen, we understand the importance of the omnishopper and the impact this new landscape is having on the growth of the e-Commerce space. Having a holistic view of performance is critical for the long-term success of many CPG brands.

 As a Sales Manager, you are responsible for sales activities against our activation oriented Omnishopper solutions including Panview surveys within the Canadian market. Sales activities may include identifying new opportunities, constructing a preliminary research scope / design, preparing materials for client sales meetings, conducting those meetings, managing opportunities throughout the entire sales cycle, closing deals and supporting the deployment of sales campaigns and assets. This position will partner with manufacturer & retail client teams and product delivery specialists to execute sales plans and achieve set sales targets.

 RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Supporting the development and execution of a sales plan for our Panelview survey solutions and syndicated shopper studies

  • Proposing options and recommending most appropriate research methodology and study design to meet specific client needs

  • Building and delivering materials for client presentations and proposals

  • Substantial use of Salesforce to keep track of sales activities, leads and opportunities leading to awareness of pipeline status

  • Maintaining an understanding of client stakeholders and building client relationships with key players

  • Become a subject matter expert on Panelview surveys on the Homescan panel in an effort to drive client engagement and revenue growth

  • Transferring client feedback and market desires to product teams in support of solution enhancements

  • Working collaboratively with other product sales leads & Client development to exceeded sales targets by managing a disciplined action plan

Are you a passionate, savvy salesperson? Can you effectively tell a story that captures the audience, no matter what level, and brings them along your journey? Are you able to build trusted advisor relationships with clients? Are you able to work collaboratively, as part of a remote team within a fast-paced and challenging environment while maintaining high standards? Do you have experience working with consumer research and insights? 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • 5+ years’ experience in a relevant industry (CPG, sales, consumer research)

    • Previous experience working in the areas of consumer panel and/or consumer research preferred

  • Prior sales experience REQUIRED

    • Demonstrated record of creating and growing sales revenue

    • Strong sales pipeline management skills with a track record of predictability and consistency

  • Excellent awareness of consumer decision making and CPG client business environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and Salesforce

  • Familiarity with Nielsen tools, applications and platforms a plus

  • French/English Bilingualism an asset
