Sales Operations Lead
Hireology’s technology empowers businesses to build great teams. Over the last seven years, we’ve grown from a startup to a market-leading organization with over 150 team members, and we’ve created an award-winning culture that makes this company an amazing place to work.
It’s with that in mind that Hireology is looking to add a dedicated Sales Operations professional to our team, to ensure core finance functions within our organization are executed efficiently and impactfully, with fluid communication between all internal and external stakeholders, consistent timeline execution, and creative problem-solving. By ensuring our financial strategy is integrated with and informed by our day-to-day business operations, this Sales Operations Lead will help our business scale to exceed our lofty goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Commissions: You’ll calculate commissions, but also make sure the processes and tools are in place for all commissioned roles to understand how their commission works, what’s going in to it, and what it’s going to be. Once commissions are calculated you’ll ensure we have fluid communications to all employees, and any questions are answered.
Performance Tracking: At Hireology, consistent high performance allows our employees to advance in the organization. You’ll be responsible for tracking goal achievement and communicating that back to employees and managers, so that everyone knows what they need to do do keep their career moving forward.
Headcount Planning: Our team is our biggest lever for growth. You’ll be responsible for owning and updating a model to help us understand when and where we need to hire.
Identifying Issues: With the growth we’re experiencing, “the way we’ve always done it” is probably not the way we need to be doing it tomorrow. You’ll need to understand the current processes from the ground up and in the context of how similar processes are run elsewhere so that you can clearly identify where our process needs improvement.
Proposing Solutions: Pointing out issues without a plan to fix them rarely solves the problem. You’ll need to leverage analytical skill, personal relationships, and business sense to suggest options for how we’ll knock down current roadblocks and move our company forward.
Integrating change to the business: At the end of the day, we’re measured not only on how good our ideas are or how hard we work, but by the positive change we deliver to our customers. When we’ve picked the path forward, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of its execution - project management, communications, implementation, training, measurement, and iteration.
So what kind of person are we looking for in this role? We have a unique culture here at Hireology, and the person who will be successful in this role will be:
Obsessed with details: Some people call them “the weeds”, but you’re a gardner. You know them intimately, because that’s the only way to know which ones are harmful and which ones are essential.
An Effective Communicator: Delivering messages up and down and across the organization requires clarity, diplomacy and discretion - you will need to demonstrate all of those abilities. Please show us how well you communicate in a well written cover letter to this opening.
Creative and Curious: You’ll be able to find areas we can be better and you’ll work across the organization - and outside of it - for the best ways to make them better. Then you’ll make them better. You’ll learn a ridiculous amount, because you have to and because you want to.
A Person of Integrity: Not negotiable in this role or any at Hireology.
Okay, we’ve laid out what the job is - now are you qualified? Here are the minimum qualifications we’re looking for in this role.
