Hi, welcome to PerkSpot. We’re looking for a helpful and creative Sales Trainer to join our team and deliver effective, successful trainings across both the Sales and Client Support teams.

You will then report on important KPIs that determine the success of new hires, as well as constantly strive to set future team members up for success. The success of the Sales team helps determine success of the company as a whole, so your efforts will help directly impact the company’s path forward.

Meet the Sales Team
Our Sales team is comprised of outgoing, proactive individuals who are proud to function as PerkSpot’s main brand ambassadors. Working with key stakeholders, you’ll identify training needs and create/distribute helpful training resources. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone with sales, client success, and learning and development experience to map out and execute a comprehensive training plan for a high-growth company.
Life as a Sales Trainer:
- Learn the ins and outs of PerkSpot’s business; use this to discover the most effective and efficient training techniques
- Meet with stakeholders to identify training needs and gaps
- Mapping out an effective training process and strategy, and developing accompanying training resources and collateral
- Report on KPIs such as addressable member growth, new client wins, 90-day hire performance, etc.
- Mentor new hires to success; report to leadership on their progress at 90 days
- Compile training resources for new processes and product launches
- Provide 1:1 support and coaching to underperforming reps as needed
- Set up Gong intelligence tracking to assess new member training adoption
- Report on training adoption progress to leadership
- Keep tabs on the sales and customer service training landscape, and adjust PerkSpot’s training plan as needed
- Attend regular team and staff meetings to go over company goals, success benchmarks, and sales strategies
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in sales and/or customer service learning and development
- Background in client success, sales, and/or customer service required
- Experience in B2B serving HR or enterprise clients preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with standard HR roles, responsibilities, and typical KPIs a plus
- Experience in content creation, training, and public speaking
- Experience monitoring sales and client success benchmarks, ideally within a mentee/mentor capacity
- Excellent technical skills and proficiency in relevant IT platforms
- Strong communication, presentation, and analytical skills
- Helpful, collaborative, and positive nature
- Organized and thoughtful approach to all work
- Proactive and diligent work ethic
- Proven understanding of PerkSpot’s values as a whole and a willingness to work hard to achieve overall company goals
Your First Few Months
You’ll start by learning all about PerkSpot’s mission, culture, and product - you can’t train if you don’t know it yourself! We’ll have you meet with both the Sales and Client Success teams and then company leadership to identify training pain points and how best to tackle them. After that, you’ll familiarize yourself with the industry and our required KPIs, and then start building out our training schedule, collateral, and evaluation process. After 90 days, you’ll be a full-fledged trainer on the team, always on hand to answer questions or help our team members through a tough month.
