Senior Analyst, Sales Planning

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Sales Planning to join Flexport in a critical role for our commercial business, adding to a group of fellow analytical problem-solvers on our Global Sales Operations team. The ideal candidate is an analytical problem solver and resourceful self-starter. You enjoy using quantitative data and qualitative information to build a clear plan for the business. You have experience with, and enjoy building, operational and financial models, analyzing data sets, and improving processes and tools (e.g. SFDC, Looker, data warehouses, etc.). You love building relationships with stakeholders, and partnering cross-functionally to translate strategy into plans and actions. You thrive on having ownership over hard problems and consistently step up to the challenge.
You will:
- Own the annual and quarterly Sales plan, capacity model, and Sales and Account Management headcount plan for Flexport’s North American commercial business
- Own Flexport’s annual sales plan, capacity model for sales and account management, and commercial headcount plan
- Partner with commercial stakeholders to translate commercial strategy into detailed, actionable analyses for the commercial organization
- Make commercial plans actionable to the field by translating them into local targets and quotas for the Sales and Account Management teams
- Use data to keep the commercial business on track and identify opportunities to outperform the plan
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales Operations, Finance, and Analytics to ensure that all teams are coordinated in supporting the organization to hit and exceed plan
You should have:
- 5+ years experience in quantitative Sales Finance and Operations roles
- Investment banking or consulting (sales / sales strategy) experience is a plus
- Advanced Excel, SQL and Salesforce skills required. Looker experience is a plus!
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with an ability to translate data into insights and actions
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong sense of ownership over a problem
- Resourceful in finding answers and solutions and exceptional time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate to senior leadership
