Job Description
This individual will be part of the International Markets (Americas) team, providing support for the expansion of Discover and Diners Club issuance in a group of countries in North America (USA and Canada), mainly with Commercial products He/she will be required to have proven business development and client management track record with relevant experience within North America. The role will require a high degree of maturity and leadership skills to interact both at most senior levels and at the most operational level of the different organizations, in order to drive decision making and directly impact the growth of the business.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for managing business development in one or more countries, regions, or industries. Serves as the relationship manager for multiple complex partner relationships.
- Manage the partnership, its contracts, provide sales support and grow the business.
- Performs market analyses and business-development activities to drive profitable sales volume.
How You'll Do It
- Drive transaction volume and experience of existing partners in order to drive profitable growth
- Manage new and existing partnerships to develop opportunities for growth and profitability
- Partner internally and externally to identify, develop and implement new business opportunities. Develop regional business strategies around Discover and Diners products, working with senior management to develop and execute local sales and marketing strategy
- Prospect potential new clients and create new opportunities for growth in the region, outside the existing client portfolio
- Drive growth on both the Issuance side of the business, creating projects on how to increase the number of cardmembers and sales volume but also bringing new and expanding existing acquirers, increasing the number of accepting merchants in the region.

Qualifications You'll Need
The Basics
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Payments, Relationship Management, or Marketing
- In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of experience in Payments, Relationship Management, or Marketing
Bonus Points If You Have
- Master's Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field
- Proven track record within Card Issuance and Corporate Products
- Sales and Business Development mind set, with excellent interpersonal/relationship management, leadership and negotiation skills
- Extensive knowledge in sales process (long and short), ability to travel, to work on own initiative, be creative and make decisions with minimum supervision when on the field
- Can-do attitude to provide necessary client support while maintaining strategic thought leadership within the company
- Demonstrated experience in working at "C" level with current and Prospective customers and industry thought leaders
