About the Role

As Tiv’s VP, Partnerships you’ll leverage your industry acumen, existing network and hustle to create new business initiatives with game platforms, publishers and developers, as well as with other endemic gaming companies and merchants. Reporting to the CEO, you will build a pipeline and implement a strategy to expand and deepen Tiv’s relationships with industry partners. You are accomplished and motivated, with experience building C-level relationships, formulating creative deal structures, and closing complex partnerships across the gaming industry.

You Will:

  • Identify, source and close high impact partnership agreements with gaming companies that meet Tiv’s business objectives, drive value to our community, and that are ultimately repeatable and scalable
  • Pursue and lead multiple opportunities simultaneously with a variety of partners across business categories (e.g. game platforms, developers, hardware/peripheral companies, retailers) and bring important internal team members onboard from initial negotiations through execution to ensure successful long-term partnerships
  • Create and mediate opportunities that enhance Tiv’s product (e.g. exclusive offers, rewards and/or benefits) and provide co-marketing opportunities across content, PR and events
  • Leverage your knowledge and understanding of partner business models, strategies and priorities to help Tiv’s executive team develop product features and enhancements that deepen relationships with current partners and expand prospects with future ones
  • Articulate sophisticated product vision and strategies to partners by providing relevant insights based on feedback from Tiv’s community as well as data analysis
  • Provide thought leadership internally and externally, acting as an effective communicator and being seen as an innovator throughout the gaming industry

You Have:

  • 8+ years business development and partnerships experience in the gaming and/or entertainment industries
  • Experience generating new business, from sourcing to closing large strategic deals independently
  • Creative deal making abilities and experience with gaming, media and/or internet agreements
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills, with excellent attention to detail and an ability to translate data into insight
  • A proven ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, able to excel despite ambiguity and comfortable acting with autonomy
  • An understanding for what it means to have a growth mindset, collaborate cross-functionally, and bring people together towards a common goal
  • A low ego, high-energy style

Bonus Points:

  • Previous employment at a game publisher/developer or ecosystem developer
  • Passionate about and actively involved in the gaming ecosystem
  • Management experience leading high-performing business development teams
  • Understanding of consumer financial services and payment technologies
  • Proficiency with and presence on social platforms (e.g. Twitter)
