The Software Enterprise Sales team is a group within Motorola Solutions, Inc. that provides industry leading, next generation Citizen Engagement, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Jail Management, Public Service 311, and analytics software applications to the Public Safety and Public Service markets. No other company has the breadth and depth of technology and experience to deliver end to end public safety applications and mission critical voice and data communications systems.
Job Description

We are seeking a top-performing, technical sales professional who understands the unique approach to shifting public safety operations from reactive to proactive. As a Senior Account Executive, you will drive the expansion of Motorola Solutions' industry-leading CommandCentral Aware situational awareness software across major accounts. Our platform securely unifies real-time data and video streams into a common operating picture, utilizing responsibly built artificial intelligence to surface vital intelligence before project boundaries are even drawn.

This is a hunter role designed for a highly driven, self-motivated strategist with an entrepreneurial builder attitude. You will step into a position of high visibility, proactively engaging with leaders across the largest cities and counties to influence operational strategy well in advance of formal procurement cycles. By blending consultative relationship building with complex technical aptitude, you will champion a collaborative safety ecosystem that connects those in need with those who can help. Top sales performers are compensated aggressively with accelerators upon achieving their annual sales quota

Responsibilities: 

  • Proactively influence large-tier agencies and multi-jurisdictional project stakeholders well in advance of formal local government procurement processes

  • Execute comprehensive on-site discovery sessions to uncover the unique transit policing challenges and operational hurdles facing major metropolitan accounts

  • Qualify the ongoing strength, economic viability, and strategic progression of complex software opportunities throughout a dynamic, long-cycle sales process

  • Deliver persuasive, highly technical on-site product presentations and interactive internet demonstrations of our command center software suite

  • Articulate the value of enterprise software integration, illustrating how connected voice, video, and data feeds accelerate response times and simplify agency workflows

  • Construct and present impactful oral presentations tailored to committees, high-level public safety officials, and local government executives

  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships through strategic contact, regional user group meetings, and targeted trade show attendance

  • Manage assigned geographical territories structured by customer host agency capacity, taking full accountability for quota attainment

  • Maintain meticulous accuracy within our CRM platform, overseeing pipeline health, opportunity forecasting, and consistent lead development tracking

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales, public safety experience

  • OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience

  • Sales experience in a technical field, computer software industry, or government sales preferred  

  • Understanding of transit policing and the challenges they're facing along with the best use applications

  • Experience selling to multiple levels, project stakeholders, and committees a plus

  • Experience with large ticket products having long sales cycles beneficial  

  • Ability to articulate and sell enterprise software solutions

  • Highly driven and self-motivated

  • Consistently proactive toward lead and opportunity qualification and development processes

  • Possess excellent communication skills and have demonstrated problem-solving and negotiating skills  

  • Possess both consultative and relationship-based sales qualities when engaging with prospective customers

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
