Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The chosen candidate will be a team player and will assist with all elements of the accounting function, to include such areas as General Ledger accounting and reconciliation of banking and other operational transactions.


Job Responsibilities:

· Reconcile and record banking transactions on a monthly basis

· Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, which will include reviewing and recording financial activity

· Assist with oversight of corporate level accounting as needed (i.e. acquisition accounting, fixed assets, lease accounting)

· Perform profit and loss reviews and variance analysis as needed and assist with preparation of periodic financial review packages

· Support financial and other audit related procedures

· Support companywide initiatives and Ad Hoc projects

· Oversee processing transactions in financial systems, such as General Ledger Systems, AP systems

· Ensure financial activity is accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP and company procedures

· Assist with back-office integration and onboarding of new locations

· Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy


Required Criteria:

· Undergraduate accounting degree required

· 2-6+ years of prior accounting experience preferred

· Advanced excel user, leveraging for efficiency and process improvement

· Can work well both independently to oversee projects and be a team player supporting the team and department

· Highly analytical mind and not afraid to dive deep into the details and solve problems, self-review work

· Detail and deadline oriented

· Ability to multi-task and have depth of understanding to review their work

· High level of customer service orientation

· Local to the greater Chicago area, ability to work in office

Compensation

Highly competitive compensation consisting of base salary and annual performance bonus.
