About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Accountant who is excited to build Coinflow's accounting foundation from the ground up. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in unstructured environments and wants to design the processes, policies, and controls that will scale with the company. You'll be our first dedicated accounting hire, which means you'll have real ownership over how we set up our books, prepare for audits, and build the infrastructure to support Coinflow's rapid growth.

This role doesn't require prior startup experience, but you must be energized by ambiguity, comfortable making judgment calls without a playbook, and genuinely excited about the crypto and digital payments space. You'll partner closely with Finance leadership and work cross-functionally with teams across the company.

What You'll Do

Accounting Foundation & Process Design

• Build and own Coinflow's core accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger management

• Develop accounting policies and documentation that reflect best practices and position the company for future audits

• Evaluate, select, and implement the accounting systems and tooling that will serve as Coinflow's financial backbone - you'll own the decision on ERP, expense management, and close tools as we scale
  

Controls & Audit Readiness

• Design and implement internal controls across key financial processes

• Prepare the company for its first external audit, including documentation, schedules, and auditor coordination

• Ensure compliance with tax filings and regulatory requirements

Financial Planning Support

• Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting and forecasting

• Support expense management and cost discipline as the company scales

• Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and models to support leadership decision-making

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of experience at a Big 4 accounting firm (audit or advisory), with exposure to high-growth or technology clients

• CPA strongly preferred; candidates who have passed the CPA exam or are actively pursuing licensure will also be considered

• Strong technical accounting skills, particularly around revenue recognition and complex transaction flows

• Experience evaluating and implementing accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks) - you have opinions on what good tooling looks like at different stages of growth

• Experience with or genuine passion for crypto, Web3, or digital payments - you're excited about the space, not just the role

• A builder's mindset - you're energized by creating structure where none exists and thrive without a playbook

• Excellent communicator who can translate accounting concepts for non-finance stakeholders

• Self-starter with a bias toward ownership and problem-solving in fast-moving environments

• Bonus: Prior experience with digital asset accounting, payment processing companies, or fintech startups

The base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $175,000 USD. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, skills, qualifications and business needs.
