Summary:

In this role, you will analyze and organize complex supply purchase and contracting data to support informed decision-making by aggregation groups and healthcare clients. You will cleanse and validate raw data, identify gaps and inaccuracies, apply contract and benchmark information, and develop analyses that translate data into meaningful insights. You will also collaborate with internal and external partners to customize reporting, communicate project progress, and strengthen category knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze purchase order line-item data to evaluate dataset completeness and identify missing spend.

  • Review and correct inaccurate data using sound judgment and established analytical practices.

  • Build cross-references using national contracts, cross-reference databases, and other available resources.

  • Apply appropriate pricing and benchmark data to support accurate and meaningful analyses.

  • Customize analyses and reporting to address client needs and support informed purchasing and contracting decisions.

  • Interpret analytical results and communicate key insights through clear, data-driven storytelling.

  • Communicate project schedules, workloads, progress, and expected completion timelines.

  • Load client price files and support related data requests as needed.

  • Expand category and industry knowledge through research, experience, and professional networking.

  • Establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners while monitoring industry changes that may influence client decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.

  • Experience in an analytical role, preferably working with healthcare supply chain or clinical data.

  • Experience with a group purchasing organization, healthcare institution, or healthcare distributor or manufacturer preferred.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and Word preferred.

  • Knowledge of SQL and VBA preferred.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
