Senior Architect
Key Responsibilities:
Conceptual Design:
Develop initial design concepts based on client requirements, budget constraints, and site considerations.
Create sketches, renderings, and 3D models to visually communicate design ideas.
Space Planning:
Analyze and plan the layout of spaces within buildings for optimal functionality and efficiency.
Consider factors such as user needs, accessibility, and workflow in the design process.
Technical Drawings:
Produce detailed technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details.
Use computer-aided design (CAD) software for precision and efficiency.
Material and Finish Selection:
Specify materials, finishes, and color schemes in line with the design concept and project requirements.
Collaborate with interior designers and other specialists to integrate aesthetic and functional elements.
Collaboration with Clients and Stakeholders:
Engage with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and expectations.
Present design proposals and gather feedback to refine and finalize the design.
Code Compliance:
Ensure designs comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements.
Obtain necessary permits and approvals for proposed designs.
Project Management:
Oversee the implementation of design concepts during the construction phase.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to address design-related issues and modifications.
Site Analysis:
Conduct site visits and analysis to assess environmental and contextual factors that may impact the design.
Integrate site-specific considerations into the overall design approach.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
Proven experience in architectural design, with a portfolio showcasing a range of projects.
Proficiency in architectural design software, such as Revit, and Bluebeam.
Strong creative and analytical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Additional Requirements:
10+ years of proven experience in architectural design, with a portfolio showcasing a range of projects.
Experience with veterinarian design a plus, but not required
Familiarity with sustainable design principles and green building practices.
Knowledge of current trends and advancements in architecture.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
