About Grubhub

At Grubhub, we champion restaurants from coast to coast. Restaurants sit at the heart of communities. It’s our mission to strengthen their roots, deepen their connections, and increase the positive impact they have on people and society.

Grubhub, part of Wonder, delivers the best local, authentic cuisine right to diners’ doors—and new customers and billions in revenue to local businesses. Featuring over 375,000 merchants in over 4,000 cities nationwide, our innovative technology, user-friendly platforms, and streamlined delivery capabilities have made us an industry leader in the world of online food ordering.

Since we opened our doors in 2004, Grubhub has been opening doors all across the country. Bakery doors in Hyde Park, jibarito joint doors in Queens, and doors of opportunity all across the country. Join our team and help us open more.

Do you describe yourself as a data ninja, spreadsheet guru, numbers whiz, metrics maverick? If yes then this is the job for you. You will be the primary data analyst for Grubhub’s Corporate team which is responsible for Grubhub’s B2B business. We are looking for a data whisperer to organize all of our data, design every dashboard, and figure out what’s going on when trends change. You will be handed tough problems with limited context and will need to ask smart questions and move things forward with little additional direction. Our ideal candidate is scrappy, flexible, optimistic, and willing to knock down walls to get things done.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Organize large, messy data sets to get the complete picture of what is happening in the business

  • Design and build dashboards in Tableau, Salesforce and other GTM tools for all levels of stakeholders from front-line sales reps and account managers up through the Grubhub Exec Team

  • Derive insights that guide stakeholders

  • Identify trends and shifts in customer behavior related to the release of new programs and products, and make recommendations for improving retention and driving growth

  • Analyze performance of lifecycle marketing campaigns (acquisition, product marketing, CRM) to develop strategic insights informing marketing investments and optimizations

  • Drive ad-hoc analyses for cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Customer Success, Marketing, and Care

  • Be curious! Find data nuggets, trends, and other analytical goodies that help us grow faster and generate more profit.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Strong technical analytical skills - advanced SQL (building the architectural framework, not just querying data), Excel, Tableau or similar data visualization tool, Salesforce reports & dashboards

  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to dive deep, summarize, and communicate important data

  • Ability to solve ambiguous problems and make sense of complex and interconnected systems

  • Excellent written and verbal communicator

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals and constant change

  • 2-4 years of experience in an analytical role; start-up, e-commerce, or technology background preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field preferred

Chicago: $86,500- $103,000
