Team Overview
The Global Invoice-to-Cash team is responsible for overseeing billing, cash application, collections, dispute management, and related process governance across multiple regions. This team plays a critical role in supporting TransUnion’s financial operations by ensuring timely, accurate, compliant, and scalable Invoice-to-Cash processes that enable business growth and enhance the customer experience.This role will partner closely with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Technology, and Global Finance Shared Services teams, with an initial focus on the US, Canada, and UK before expanding across additional global operations.
This role reports to the VP of Global Finance & Shared Services This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
The Senior Director, Global Process Leader, Invoice to Cash will serve as the strategic owner of the end-to-end global Invoice-to-Cash process. This leader will drive process standardization, operational excellence, automation, governance, vendor management, and transformation across global billing, collections, cash application, credit, and dispute management operations.
- Define and own the global strategy, vision, and roadmap for Invoice-to-Cash, ensuring alignment with business objectives, Sales/Sales Operations, and Finance priorities.
- Lead the design, standardization, documentation, and governance of global Invoice-to-Cash processes, policies, controls, SOPs, and best practices across regions.
- Oversee global Invoice-to-Cash operations to ensure timely, accurate, efficient, and compliant transaction processing across multiple geographies.
- Partner with Global Finance Shared Services teams in Pune, India and Costa Rica, along with key business stakeholders, to oversee global delivery of the Invoice-to-Cash process.
- Drive continuous improvement, process reengineering, digitization, and automation to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, lower operating costs, and support scalable growth.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators, identify underperformance, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective action plans.
- Lead change management efforts to support adoption of new processes, policies, technologies, and governance models across global teams.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships supporting Invoice-to-Cash, including contract compliance, service optimization, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
- Serve as the key liaison between Invoice-to-Cash teams and stakeholders across Finance, Sales, Sales Operations, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Procurement, and Technology.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing global team, fostering a culture of accountability, process discipline, operational excellence, and innovation.
Required Knowledge and Experiences
- 15+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years in a global Invoice-to-Cash process leadership role within a shared services or large multinational environment.
- Deep end-to-end Invoice-to-Cash expertise across billing, collections, credit, cash application, dispute management, process governance, and operational controls.
- Proven experience leading global process standardization, transformation, system implementations, automation, and governance across complex, matrixed organizations.
- Strong executive presence, stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and leadership skills, with the ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience with demonstrated success leading global finance operations.
- Experience with major ERP and finance technology platforms such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, HighRadius, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of Invoice-to-Cash automation, workflow tools, system integrations, reporting, and data accuracy controls.
- Ability to leverage KPIs, dashboards, root cause analysis, and performance data to drive operational improvements.
- Experience partnering with Technology teams to define business requirements, improve system capabilities, and support global process transformation.
- Working knowledge of internal controls, audit standards, compliance requirements, and country-specific tax or regulatory considerations related to Invoice-to-Cash operations.
- Experience driving AI, robotics, or advanced automation initiatives within finance operations or shared services environments.
- Experience managing global vendors or outsourced service providers supporting finance operations.
- Exposure to global operations across North America, Europe, India, Costa Rica, or other shared services delivery locations.
- Experience improving customer experience, issue resolution models, and escalation management across finance or order-to-cash processes.
- Ability to benchmark process performance against industry standards and drive best-in-class operational outcomes.

Pay Scale Information:The U.S. base salary range for this position is $166,800.00 - $250,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan.
