Senior Director, Product Management
As a Senior Director of Product Management at Capital One Mexico, you are an architect of the enterprise's foundational capabilities. You will lead a high-performing organization of 10+ Product Managers driving the future of our global platforms.
You will lead the strategy for complex, high-scale systems that empower thousands of developers and millions of customers. We are looking for a visionary who moves beyond tactical backlog management to drive transformational change at scale within a highly matrixed, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Platform Orchestration & Strategy: Establish a multi-year roadmap for foundational technologies. You must balance "bleeding-edge" innovation with the relentless reliability required of a global financial institution.
  • Matrixed Influence: Serve as the primary strategic bridge between Mexico-based engineering hubs and US-based business leadership. You must excel at crafting a compelling Point of View to gain buy-in across disparate stakeholders and geographies.
  • Organizational Leadership: Lead, inspire, and grow a team of 10+ Product Managers. You will raise the Product Craft in the region, providing guardrails to empowered teams to deliver outsized value
  • Iterative Infrastructure Value: Break down massive architectural shifts into iterative releases. You ensure the platform delivers incremental, measurable value continuously, avoiding the "black hole" of multi-year waterfall migrations.
  • Productizing the Developer Experience: Treat internal platforms with the same rigor as consumer-facing apps. You will advocate for self-service capabilities, API-first design, and world-class documentation.

What We Are Looking For
  • Global Scale Mastery: You have led product portfolios in large-scale organizations, ideally with cross-border operations. You understand how to scale platforms that support thousands of concurrent users and high-frequency transactions.
  • Technical Fluency: You can go "toe-to-toe" with Principal Engineers on system design, resilience, and tech-debt trade-offs. You understand the "plumbing" of a modern tech stack (Cloud, APIs, Microservices).
  • Metrics Focused: You know how to measure success across a variety of user bases - whether working on a customer-facing or back-end platforms
  • Elite Communication: You possess exceptional communication skills in English and Spanish. You can translate a complex technical bottleneck into a strategic business risk for C-suite stakeholders.
  • The "PM vs. PO" Distinction: You lead through outcomes and "Why," rather than just "How" and "When." You understand that your job is to solve problems, not just manage a ticket queue.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 7 years of experience in digital product management, with a track record of launching and scaling complex technical products.
  • At least 5 years of experience in people leadership, specifically managing managers or large teams of 10+ associates.
  • Experience with global stakeholder management
  • Advance English both written and speaking

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience navigating the security and compliance requirements of a global bank.
