About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Finance Manager to join our growing private equity-backed software platform. This role will support a portfolio of multiple SaaS businesses and serve as a key partner to the Director of Finance and CFO in delivering financial reporting, strategic analysis and insights, M&A support, board & lender reporting and enterprise-wide planning initiatives.

This position is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex business problems, and can quickly translate data into actionable insights. The successful candidate will combine strong financial acumen and analytical skills, business judgment, experience utilizing AI, and the ability to work across multiple operating companies. And the ideal candidate will accel in identifying and communicating key business trends, opportunities and challenges to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Reporting & Consolidation

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of financial results across multiple business units and divisions.
  • Analyze operating performance, recurring revenue metrics, profitability trends, and key SaaS performance indicators and deliver insights to internal and external stakeholders, leveraging AI where applicable.
  • Support monthly close review processes and variance analysis.
  • Develop executive-level reporting packages for senior leadership and private equity stakeholders.

Board & Lender Reporting

  • Prepare quarterly Board of Directors reporting packages, including financial performance, KPI analysis, and strategic insights.
  • Prepare recurring lender reporting packages, covenant calculations and supporting analyses.
  • Partner with executive leadership to deliver clear, concise financial narratives for stakeholders.

Strategic Finance & Executive Support

  • Partner directly with the CFO and Director of Finance on strategic projects and ad hoc analyses.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models supporting forecasting, scenario planning, cash flow analysis, and investment decisions.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses and provide recommendations to support executive decision-making.
  • Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.

M&A and Integration Support

  • Partner with M&A team to evaluate acquisition opportunities through financial analysis and model development.
  • Review quality of earnings reports and diligence materials to understand opportunities and identify potential financial and reporting risks.
  • Support post-acquisition integration planning and performance tracking.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Improve reporting automation and financial processes across the organization, leveraging AI to increase efficiency while delivering insights to the business.
  • Partner with accounting, operations, and business leaders to enhance data quality and reporting accuracy.
  • Support system enhancements and integrations involving NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, and other financial systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, Corporate Finance, or related roles.
  • Experience supporting multiple business units, divisions, or portfolio companies.
  • Prior experience within SaaS, software, or recurring revenue business models.
  • Experience preparing executive, board, and lender reporting packages and delivering strong insights (written and verbal) to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Examples of utilizing AI to drive efficiency into FP&A workflows and deliver value-added insights to the business.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Expert-level financial modeling capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of three-statement financial models, SaaS metrics, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning (Workday Adaptive Planning).
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP.
  • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and financial presentation development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience within a private equity-backed organization.
  • Experience supporting debt covenant reporting and lender relationships.
  • CPA, CFA, MBA, or equivalent advanced financial credential.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools.
