At Bluesight, our mission is to create groundbreaking solutions that increase efficiency, safety and visibility for health systems, hospital pharmacy, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.  We empower our customers to deliver the right medicine to the right patient at the right time, every time.  We are a high growth healthcare information technology company with a start-up 'vibe' but over 3,000 customers using our proven solutions.

Bluesight is seeking an experienced Senior Implementation Specialist to lead client implementations of Procurement Solutions, which includes CostCheck, ShortageCheck and 340BCheck. CostCheck, our pharmacy purchasing and cost-savings optimization solution. CostCheck helps hospitals maximize pharmacy savings opportunities by monitoring spend against savings caps, GPO contract terms, and 340B program requirements. ShortageCheck predicts hospital and pharmacy drug shortages up to 90 days in advance, using market-wide signals — fulfillment delays, demand surges, usage trends — from over 3,250 healthcare organizations to give your team the lead time to plan ahead instead of scrambling once patient care is at risk. 340BCheck340BCheck unifies 340B data in one compliance command center, built on real HRSA audit requirements, so hospitals and grantees stay continuously audit-ready as their program grows. This is a senior role on the Implementation team, suited to someone who has already worked in hospital pharmacy purchasing or cost-savings optimization, and can bring that domain depth directly into how our customers configure and adopt Procurement solutions.

As a senior member of the team, this person will manage the most complex implementations — configuring systems to maximize potentials and fill gaps , and setting customers up on sound methodology from day one — act as a trusted advisor to customers' purchasing and pharmacy leadership, and help mentor other Implementation Specialists on purchasing-, supply- and cost-related workflows.

The ideal candidate is highly attentive to detail, comfortable talking with pharmacy buyers, purchasing directors, and finance stakeholders, and can operate in an environment that is often ambiguous and requires creativity to resolve issues.

Representative Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of Procurement Solution implementation projects, including project kick-off, software and pricing/contract configuration, go-live, and training, while maintaining project timelines.
  • Configure and validate data, system outcomes, workflows, , and wholesaler/purchasing data feeds so customers' performance is tracked accurately from go-live.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers before they go live, owning all communications including weekly check-in meetings, ad hoc calls, and emails.
  • Manage multiple implementation projects at once, across customers with different priorities, purchasing structures, and deadlines.
  • Work as a consultative partner with customers' purchasing and pharmacy teams, advising on best practices for pharmacy cost-savings optimization, 340B compliance, and GPO/contract alignment.
  • Train customer stakeholders on the CostCheck savings methodology and how to interpret savings-vs-cap performance so they're self-sufficient after go-live.
  • Train customer stakeholders on the 340BCheck compliance and audit workflows within the system to provide them assistance in HRSA audits.
  • Train customer stakeholders on ShortageCheck use and medication tracking.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer, wholesalers/GPOs, and Bluesight's internal Clinical, Product, and Dev teams to facilitate technical and pricing configuration of the software.
  • Maintain up-to-date project plans, tickets, and other project documentation so timelines stay on track and visible to leadership.
  • Serve as a senior resource for the Implementation team on purchasing- and cost-related questions, helping onboard and support other Implementation Specialists.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed to support rollout, meet with key stakeholders, and represent Bluesight professionally in front of customers.

Qualifications & Skills

    Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, pharmacy, healthcare management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience, with a background aligned to hospital pharmacy purchasing, buying, procurement, or pharmacy cost-savings optimization (e.g., experience as a buyer or in a similar purchasing-facing role).
  • 2+ years of project management and/or client-facing experience, ideally implementation-related.
  • Strong familiarity with pharmacy cost savings programs, 340B program requirements, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs) preferred.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry, ideally hospital pharmacy or health-system purchasing.
  • Strong financial and data analysis skills, with the ability to assess savings performance and identify optimization opportunities during implementation.
  • Ability to adapt to change, think quickly, and work independently.
  • Team-player attitude and a willingness to get things done, including mentoring less-senior teammates.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to build trusting, communicative, and results-oriented relationships with customers, including purchasing and finance stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the US as needed.
  •

  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credentials a strong plus.
  • ACE certification a strong plus.
  • Excel and SQL skills a plus.
