Team Overview
The Senior Lead - Security role serves as a key leader within Global Operations, overseeing badging, travel, and event security while acting as a central information hub for the organization. The individual will lead and develop the guard force, ensuring consistent, high-quality training aligned to organizational needs, and partner closely with Facilities, Information Security, and Business Continuity to support enterprise-wide security and operational priorities The Senior Lead - Security will have the opportunity to partner in projects specific to Headquarters safety and security. This job is assigned as On-Site Essential and requires in- person work at an assigned TU office location as a condition of employment.Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day security operations at headquarters, including badging, visitor management, and support for high-profile visits and sensitive activities.
- Manage and lead the contract guard force, including performance oversight, training alignment, and conducting unannounced spot checks.
- Own vendor relationships and ensure service delivery aligns with organizational standards and operational priorities.
- Assess, triage, and resolve security incidents and issues related to physical protection systems (e.g., access control, video management) across domestic and international locations.
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Facilities, Legal, and Administration to address complex security matters (e.g., workplace violence, investigations, and threats) while maintaining confidentiality and adapting to changing priorities.
- Travel up to 25%
- This is an Essential position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities in-person at Transunion Headquarters located in Chicago, 5 days a week.
Required Knowledge and Experiences
- 5+ years of experience supervising contract guard force and/or proprietary security operations within a corporate environment.
- Experience developing and maintaining post orders, standards, and operational guidelines to support effective guard force performance.
- Strong ability to prioritize and adjust operations in real time based on evolving situations and business needs.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- Hands-on experience with badging and access management, onboarding and training contract officers, and participation in industry organizations (e.g., ASIS, ATAP, ISPA); high school diploma or equivalent required.
- High School Degree or equivalent.
Fitness for Duty Requirements:
- Must be fit to perform duties that include sitting, standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Must be alert and able to make sound decisions under pressure
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
- As this is a safety sensitive role, periodic evaluations may be conducted post-employment to determine fitness for duty

Pay Scale Information:The U.S. base salary range for this position is $82,700.00 - $120,000.00 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
