Summary:
eCapital is looking for a Senior or Lead Solution Engineer to own the technical side of our strategic partner ecosystem. Reporting to the VP of Strategic Partnerships, you'll help shape how partners integrate with our platform today while influencing how our integration strategy evolves in the future.

In this role, you'll design and deliver partner integrations, lead technical onboarding, and serve as the subject matter expert for third-party integrations.
You'll collaborate across Product, Sales, Onboarding, and Partnerships to deliver reliable solutions that support business growth.

This individual contributor role offers the opportunity to advance into a leadership position as the team expands.
Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain integration standards and best practices across eCapital’s partner ecosystem.
  • Design, build, and support secure, scalable integrations with transportation management systems (TMS), load boards, financial data providers, and other strategic partners.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage third-party integration platforms and tools.
  • Act as the internal subject matter expert for integration requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize integration initiatives and roadmap opportunities.
  • Lead the technical onboarding of new partners and integrated clients, ensuring smooth and successful implementations.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Partnerships teams to assess integration opportunities and provide technical expertise throughout the sales process.
  • Monitor integration performance, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintain clear documentation of integration architecture, data flows, and partner configurations.
  • Mentor team members and provide technical guidance as the Solutions Engineering function grows.
Qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of experience in systems integration, implementation, or solutions engineering (8+ years preferred for Lead-level candidates).
  • Experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, EDI standards, and integration best practices.
  • Experience with OAuth2, API authentication methods, SQL, Postman, and JSON/XML.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience establishing technical standards, governance practices, or scalable integration frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Confidence presenting technical recommendations to partners, clients, and senior leaders.
  • Postsecondary education in a related field is an asset; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
