🚀 About WRITER

WRITER is where the world's leading enterprises orchestrate AI-powered work. Our vision is to expand human capacity through superintelligence. And we're proving it's possible – through powerful, trustworthy AI that unites IT and business teams together to unlock enterprise-wide transformation. With WRITER's end-to-end platform, hundreds of companies like Mars, Marriott, Uber, and Vanguard are building and deploying AI agents that are grounded in their company's data and fueled by WRITER's enterprise-grade LLMs. Valued at $1.9B and backed by industry-leading investors including Premji Invest, Radical Ventures, and ICONIQ Growth, WRITER is rapidly cementing its position as the leader in enterprise generative AI.

Founded in 2020 with office hubs in San Francisco, New York City, Austin, Chicago, Seattle, and London, our team thinks big and moves fast, and we're looking for smart, hardworking builders and scalers to join us on our journey to create a better future of work with AI.

📐 About the role

WRITER is looking for a senior lifecycle marketing manager to own how we engage, nurture, and grow our audiences across the customer journey.

You'll own our email and lifecycle marketing program end to end, from strategy and audience development through hands-on execution, measurement, and optimization. At the heart of the role is a simple goal: getting the right message to the right person at the right time.

This is both a strategic and highly hands-on role. You'll define our lifecycle strategy and then get into HubSpot to build it: creating emails, audiences, workflows, nurture programs, triggered journeys, tests, and reporting. You'll use behavioral, account, intent, and engagement signals to understand where people are in their journey and create experiences that become more relevant and personalized over time.

You'll also help define what lifecycle marketing looks like in an AI-first world, exploring how AI can change the way we build audiences, personalize communications, and use email to move people throughout their journey with WRITER.

This is a hybrid role based out of our San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, New York City, or Seattle hubs. You will report directly into the Director, lifecycle marketing.

🦸🏻‍♀️ What you’ll do

  • Own our email and lifecycle marketing program end to end, from strategy and audience development through hands-on execution, measurement, and optimization in HubSpot

  • Build and manage emails, audiences, workflows, nurture programs, triggered journeys, A/B tests, and reporting directly in HubSpot without relying on marketing operations

  • Drive audience segmentation strategy, getting into the weeds of how our database is structured to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time across a growing contact base

  • Use behavioral, account, intent, and engagement signals to create experiences that become more relevant and personalized over time, supporting complex enterprise buying journeys and account-based GTM motions

  • Partner cross-functionally with demand generation, ABM, content, product marketing, and sales to align lifecycle programs with broader GTM priorities and ensure nurture supports pipeline from first touch through expansion

  • Explore how AI can transform the way we build audiences, personalize communications, and use email to move people through their journey — experimenting quickly and pushing beyond traditional lifecycle playbooks

  • Establish the reporting and measurement framework that connects lifecycle activity to engagement, pipeline, and revenue outcomes, and translate performance into clear decisions and program improvements

⭐️ What you need

  • 6+ years of experience in lifecycle, CRM, email, or retention marketing, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise technology.

  • Experience owning an email and lifecycle marketing program end to end, including both strategy and hands-on execution.

  • Experience building lifecycle programs for complex enterprise buying journeys and understanding how email and nurture support account-based GTM motions.

  • Deep hands-on experience with HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation platform. You should be comfortable independently building emails, lists, workflows, nurture programs, automation, and reporting.

  • Experience using person-level and account-level signals to inform segmentation, nurture, personalization, and lifecycle strategy.

  • Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, behavioral triggers, and audience management.

  • Strong understanding of email fundamentals, including deliverability, experimentation, frequency management, QA, and performance measurement.

  • Strong analytical instincts and the ability to translate performance into clear decisions and program improvements.

  • A builder mentality. You're equally comfortable developing the strategy and getting into the tools to make it happen.

  • Strong ownership and comfort operating in ambiguity, identifying what needs to happen rather than waiting for a fully formed brief.

  • A strong point of view on personalization and curiosity about how AI is changing email, audience strategy, and lifecycle marketing. You don't need to have all the answers, but you should be excited to experiment, learn quickly, and push beyond traditional lifecycle playbooks.

🍩 Benefits & perks (US Full-time employees)

  • Generous PTO, plus company holidays

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family

  • Paid parental leave for all parents (16 weeks)
