In this new role the Senior Manager, Remarketing Operations and Services will lead IAA’s vehicle reconditioning and enhancement program as part of the company’s broader Remarketing growth strategy, managing a team of Make-Ready Analysts responsible for executing and monitoring the program across the nationwide branch network. The Senior Manager, Remarketing Operations and Services is responsible for leading the team of Make-Ready analysts to ensure that every remarketed vehicle is optimally prepared for sale through efficient processes, cost-effective use of internal and external resources, and high-quality standards. This role will develop and standardize make-ready operations across IAA’s 184 branches, direct the team’s day-to-day execution of vendor relationship management and work cross-functionally to turn IAA vehicle remarketing services into a scalable, revenue-generating program. The position directly supports IAA’s strategic goal of improving the seller’s experience and maximizing the value of every remarketed unit. This role reports to the Sr. Director -Field Development and Support (or another appropriate field operations leader).

Responsibilities

The posted hiring range represents a general guideline; compensation will be determined using location‑based market data across North America and may vary accordingly.

• Own the end-to-end make-ready/enhancement lifecycle for remarketed vehicles (e.g., inspections, light mechanical repairs, detailing/cleaning, keys, paint touch-ups, de-identification). Define “ready-for-sale” criteria and standard operating procedures, including required vs. optional tasks by client/vehicle type, manage a team of Make-Ready analysts, assigning workload, setting individual goals, and priorities aligned to program standards, and coaching Make-Ready analysts on execution. Continuously improve processes to reduce cycle time and eliminate waste. 20%

• Lead vendor management and outsourcing strategy for reconditioning/enhancement services. Identify and onboard qualified vendors, assist Procurement with data to negotiate service agreements, and guide national vs. local vendor utilization. Direct team of Make-Ready analysts in day-to-day vendor coordination and issue escalation, addressing performance issues and driving continuous improvement while implementing vendor KPIs and SLAs (e.g., on-time completion, rework, cost adherence). Collaborate with Finance/Procurement to optimize build vs. buy decisions and cost structure and coach the Make-Ready analysts to consistently enforce vendor best practices in the field. 20%

• Provide enhancement program financial oversight. Develop and monitor budgets/forecasts; report spend, vendor costs, and program margin; refine billing and cost-capture processes to prevent revenue leakage and ensure proper coding/contract alignment. Establish approval checkpoints for high-value repairs and lead periodic cost reviews to identify trends and improve profitability. 20%

• Partner with regional and branch operations to implement and sustain the program. Deploy Make-Ready analysts to support branch coaching on make-ready best practices and lead Make-Ready Analyst in rolling out new tools/processes, and work with Field Development/Training to create job aids and training. Ensure analysts understand and reinforce quality control checklists and post-enhancement inspection standards with branch teams. Establish feedback loops (e.g., regular calls/forums) to capture frontline insights. Ensure compliance with safety/regulatory requirements and adherence to seller SLAs/contract controls. 20%

• Provide cross-functional leadership to scale enhancement services as a revenue-generating program. Collaborate with Sales/Account Management to package enhancement options in proposals/contracts and meet client-specific requirements profitably. Act as business lead with Product/IT for systems that track enhancements, vendors, and customer visibility, support testing and adoption. Partner with Finance/Analytics to develop dashboards and KPIs and contribute operational input to broader Remarketing strategic planning and service expansion decisions, drawing on team performance trends and frontline insight gathered from the Make Ready Analysts to shape recommendations. 10%

• Set Make-Ready Analyst performance metrics tied to cost and cycle-time targets; conduct regular one-on-ones and performance reviews for direct reports, and provide input on staffing, recruitment, and disciplinary actions as needed.10%

Qualifications

Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field required.  MBA or similar advanced degree preferred

Lean/Six Sigma (or similar continuous improvement) credentials preferred.

7-10+ Years of related experience
