Job Description

Covista is a leading workforce solutions provider, empowering students and professionals to achieve their goals and advance healthcare outcomes. The Senior Manager - Thought Leadership is a key member of Covista's Thought Leadership team, reporting to the Senior Director, Thought Leadership, and serves as the primary driver of Covista's research-based influence strategy — with a focus on addressing the nation's healthcare workforce shortage.  

The senior manager partners with the senior director, thought leadership, to create rigorous, data-driven thought leadership reports that position Covista as a trusted authority in healthcare workforce development. The ideal candidate combines program management, analysis and research expertise with the ability to translate complex analyses into compelling narratives that shape conversations among policymakers, investors, media and industry leaders.This role sits at the intersection of strategy, research and communication requiring intellectual curiosity, meticulous execution, and an instinct for storytelling that advances Covista's brand and mission. 

 

  • Design rigorous, novel research studies and methodologies for Covista's thought leadership publications. 
  • Manage the insight-generation process across the thought leadership pipeline, ensuring alignment with Covista's multi-year research strategy, healthcare education priorities and brand positioning. 
  • Conduct analysis of survey results and third-party data sets using business intelligence and data visualization tools. 
  • Produce high-impact research reports, white papers and data-driven analyses—translating findings into compelling narratives that highlight Covista's role in solving the healthcare workforce crisis. 
  • Manage the production process for thought leadership reports including writing, graphics planning and review process, ensuring accuracy, brand consistency and on-time delivery. 
  • Maintain rigorous quality standards across all published work, ensuring outputs are grounded in empirical evidence and statistical robustness and reflect Covista's intellectual integrity and independence. 
  • Manage relationships with research firms, data providers and analytics partners — evaluating and selecting vendors to ensure methodological rigor and high-quality production. 
  • Oversee day-to-day project execution with external partners, including timelines, deliverables and budget adherence. 
  • Partner with Communications, other Corporate Affairs functions and business leaders to develop and amplify thought leadership. 
  • Track and report KPIs for thought leadership initiatives, including media coverage, citations, downloads and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy, Public Health, Economics, Business, Communications, Statistics, or Data Analytics required.
  • 5+ years of experience in research, strategy, or thought leadership roles within healthcare, education, consulting, public health, or policy organizations required AND
  • 2+ years of senior individual contributor experience managing research projects or content programs
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead research initiatives from concept through publication, managing multiple projects, vendors, and deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Strong background in quantitative and qualitative research methods, with familiarity in data visualization and analytics tools. 
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex research into clear narratives for executive, media, and policy audiences. 
  • Experience working with senior executives and subject matter experts to shape strategic content. 
  • Knowledge of healthcare workforce trends, public policy, and media dynamics. 
  • Highly collaborative and intellectually curious, with a commitment to analytical rigor and brand integrity. 

Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,336.75 and $120,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
