Position Overview
PHIL is seeking a driven Senior Marketing Manager who is excited about building and scaling our marketing function, owning a broad scope across several areas of marketing with a primary focus on product marketing, content marketing, and Sales enablement. Reporting to our Marketing Director, this role will independently own end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization across the marketing initiatives within their scope, including GTM messaging and positioning, Sales materials development, competitive differentiation, and content marketing.
This is a builder role for a senior individual contributor who loves solving problems and thrives in autonomous, fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate has experience working on lean teams, and is excited about the opportunity directly shape what marketing creates to support commercial growth.
This opportunity is perfect for someone with experience managing marketing planning, outcomes alignment, and hands-on execution to support pipeline generation, deal acceleration, and win rates. This role will independently drive multiple complex projects forward in parallel, working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at every level of the organization, and continuously find new ways to evolve our marketing efforts and help our company unlock an exciting next stage of growth.
Responsibilities
Independently own a broad portfolio of marketing initiatives end-to-end, driving analysis and strategy through hands-on creation, execution, measurement, and optimization, with accountability for commercial impact including pipeline generation, deal acceleration, Sales effectiveness, and win rates.
Own and execute work across several areas of marketing, including product marketing, Sales enablement, content, GTM, messaging and positioning, competitive differentiation, and other evolving business priorities.
Shape and personally create content and marketing deliverables, including product launch materials, website copy, case studies, thought leadership, messaging, positioning, and Sales enablement materials, bringing them to life directly through hands-on execution.
Translate complex industry trends, customer and cross-functional insights, and competitive intelligence into a clear strategic point of view that strengthens differentiation, messaging, and how Marketing positions and Sales sells.
Independently identify business and marketing needs, prioritize competing opportunities, and make thoughtful decisions and tradeoffs based on business need and potential commercial impact, while incorporating feedback from Sales, Product, Ops, and other stakeholders.
Manage multiple senior-level initiatives in parallel, define and measure success, continuously refine the approach based on results, and leverage AI to increase output and efficiency while maintaining quality.
Qualifications
5–7 years of B2B marketing experience, with 3+ years working in an early-stage or startup environment on lean teams, building marketing processes and playbooks from scratch.
Experience working in or supporting the pharmaceutical industry, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, pharma technology/services, consulting, agencies, or similarly relevant environments. Highly relevant healthcare experience involving pharmaceutical products or therapeutic markets may also qualify.
Demonstrated breadth of ownership across several areas of marketing (3+), with experience in at least 1–2 of product marketing, Sales enablement, and/or content creation as part of previous work experience.
Proven end-to-end ownership from strategy through hands-on execution, including personally writing and creating marketing materials, independently setting priorities, developing a strategic point of view, and making decisions as a true builder in a growing organization.
Demonstrated ability to drive multiple complex initiatives in parallel, collaborate effectively with Sales, Product, Ops, SMEs, and senior stakeholders, and connect marketing work to measurable business outcomes.
Ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of complex products and markets, independently form and pressure-test a marketing point of view, and leverage AI to increase productivity and output while maintaining quality.
