As a Senior Onboarding Accountant, you will be our new client’s first impression of the GrowthForce service team. You will be responsible for performing the standard onboarding and implementation checklist, executing projects and initiatives discovered during the sales and scoping process, and identifying additional ways to improve financial insights and visibility. Exercising judgment and discretion, you will clean up the books and document processes and procedures before handing off the client to the recurring services team. You will have an excellent knowledge of systems, integrations, and conversions and have a passion for identifying simple solutions for complex challenges.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for new clients and delivery weekly client updates during onboarding window.
  • Serves as a mentor and supports other onboarding associates.
  • Gains access to clients’ systems and, in some cases, converts to our platforms.
  • Anticipates project risks, addresses any challenges, reduces issues, and escalates to appropriate parties.
  • Develops an understanding of current client processes and identifies gaps and areas of opportunity.
  • Executes clean-up activities to get accounting records up to date and accurate.
  • Realigns chart of accounts and financial statements to enhance financial insights and visibility.
  • End of Month Reporting including bank reconciliations, balance sheet schedules, updates, journal entries, detailed review of P&L and Balance Sheet.
  • Presents financial reports to clients, walking them through format changes and financial results to help tell the story behind the numbers.
  • Prepares process documentation, delivers training, and delegates / coaches to enable a seamless transition to recurring service team.
  • Assesses client needs, determines the best third-party application solution, implements the application, and trains clients as needed.
  • Utilizes Excel, VBA/macros, AI tools, and other technologies to automate repetitive tasks, streamline onboarding workflows, improve data accuracy, and increase team efficiency.
  • Assists in annual audit preparation, including supporting analyses and schedules. Assist client auditors by researching issues, creating reports and responding to audit findings
  • Assists in annual budget preparation and related projections; creates financial reports, prepares the operating budgets
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 4+ years of accounting experience is required. Outsourced accounting and onboarding experience preferred.
  • Strong accounting foundation, including financial statement review, account reconciliations, adjusting entries, accruals, and month-end close processes.
  • Experience designing or improving accounting workflows, financial statement presentation, management reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
  • Ability to translate accounting results into clear, useful business insights for owners, executives, and non-accounting stakeholders.
  • Excellent people, customer service, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Ability and desire to multi-task and take on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • A passion for building and being part of a team.
  • Extremely detail oriented and focused on completion and follow up.
  • Creative problem-solver and remover of obstacles.

SalaryStarting wage is $75,000 to $90,000 The starting range represents the low and high end of the G&A Partners’ range for this position. Actual wages will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of G&A’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include commissions, annual bonuses, and program specific rewards. In addition, G&A Partners provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, flexible spending, ancillary benefits, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO).
