Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Product Designer to create exceptional user experiences for Filevine's legal work platform. In this role, you will design intuitive, efficient, and visually compelling solutions that address the complex needs of legal professionals. The ideal candidate will combine strong UX/UI design skills with strategic thinking, collaboration abilities, and a passion for solving challenging problems through thoughtful design.
Responsibilities
- End-to-End Design: Lead the design process from concept to implementation, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and design specifications.
- User-Centered Design: Apply user-centered design principles to create solutions that are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs and business objectives.
- Design System: Contribute to and maintain Filevine's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across the platform.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other stakeholders to define requirements, iterate on solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
- Design Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers, review design work, and help establish best practices within the design team.
- User Research: Participate in and sometimes lead user research activities to validate design decisions and gather insights for future improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze user feedback and product metrics to identify opportunities for enhancing existing features and experiences.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of product design experience, preferably in SaaS, enterprise software, or legal technology.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
- Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating UX/UI design skills, problem-solving abilities, and experience designing complex workflows.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite), understanding of design systems, and familiarity with front-end development principles.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities, strong collaboration skills, and the capacity to give and receive constructive feedback.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience designing for professional users and complex workflows; familiarity with legal processes is a plus.
- Preference for candidates who reside in EST timezone in order to support our EU team members.
Compensation Information: $150,000 - $175,000 base
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The total compensation package for this position will be determined by each individual’s location, qualifications, education, work experience, skills and performance. We believe in the importance of pay equity - the range listed is just one component of Filevine’s total compensation package for employees. This position is also eligible for a paid time off policy, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
