Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive user research and discovery to identify pain points and opportunities to improve user and customer workflows and outcomes.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, and prototypes to visualize and communicate design concepts.
  • Lead concept development and prototyping sessions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and refine designs. Experience with AI assisted prototyping tools such as Cursor, Claude, Lovable, Vercel or Replit are a plus.
  • Execute usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback, ensuring an intuitive and engaging user experience.
  • Leverage and help grow a design system, contributing to its evolution and ensuring consistency across Newmark platforms.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with business goals and technical feasibility.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in UX design, incorporating new techniques and technologies into our design process.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in UX design, with a proven track record of leading complex design projects.
  • Expertise in Figma for high fidelity design, prototyping, and design handoff.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a deep understanding of user-centric design principles and a range of successful projects.
  • Experience with design systems and contributing to their development and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in user research and data-driven design decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Passion for staying updated with industry trends and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative, innovative approach to design challenges.

Salary Range Language: 

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $125,000 to $200,000 annually.  The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
