At New Relic, Product Managers are leaders with vision, strategic thinking, customer obsession, a bias for action, and a passion for driving decisions with data. As a Senior Product Manager for APM Core Experiences, you'll join a passionate team focused on shaping the future of our flagship APM offering—a recognized market leader.

In this highly visible and strategic role, you will act as the full business owner for key areas of our APM product, taking proactive charge of strategy and execution. You'll be responsible for balancing the needs of a mature, business-critical product with the drive for bold innovation that solves the challenges of modern, multi-service architectures. If you are a high-agency leader who wants to make a massive impact in a fast-growing, dynamic company, this is an excellent fit for you!

What you'll do

  • Act as a true "full business owner": Take proactive, unprompted initiative to identify roadblocks, marshal resources, and relentlessly drive complex initiatives across the finish line.
  • Own the vision and strategy for key areas of the New Relic APM product portfolio, translating it into a clear, prioritized roadmap.
  • Drive AI strategy: Conceptualize and deliver cutting-edge AI innovations that fundamentally transform how users interact with observability data, maintaining APM’s competitive edge.
  • Accelerate your craft with AI: Leverage modern AI tools in your day-to-day workflows to accelerate your velocity, enhance data analysis, and up-level your product management capabilities.
  • Become a subject matter expert on the APM market, our customers' needs, and competitive trends to identify new opportunities and guide your strategy.
  • Partner closely with design, engineering, marketing, support, and sales teams to deliver end-to-end value for our users and ensure successful go-to-market launches.
  • Engage directly with customers to conduct research, validate requirements, and ensure the solutions you build are delightful and solve real-world problems.
  • Build a data-informed roadmap, defining, analyzing, and reporting on product metrics to meet your objectives and drive business outcomes.
  • Communicate your strategy and roadmap effectively to stakeholders and leadership, bringing clarity to complex situations and driving alignment.

This role requires

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience; a background in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience building and launching technical products as a Product Manager.
  • A fierce bias for action and proactive ownership: you do not wait for direction; you identify what needs to be done and you lead the charge.
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot) to enhance your own productivity, velocity, and decision-making as a PM.
  • A proven ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data and use it to build delightful, high-impact capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bring clarity and alignment in ambiguous situations.
  • A deep sense of customer empathy and experience identifying customer requirements and shipping engaging experiences.

Bonus points if you have

  • Direct experience with observability products/tools, especially in the APM space.
  • Prior SaaS product experience with a developer persona.
  • Experience with enterprise B2B products.
  • Familiarity with public cloud infrastructure services (AWS / Azure / GCP).
