The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Release Train Engineer to join the team in Plano, TX.
We are seeking a hands-on specialist to lead and coordinate our Digital Commerce release train. The selected candidate will be a servant leader and coach who drives Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), program-level execution, continuous delivery, and cross-team alignment for high-visibility eCommerce initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary specialist for the Digital Commerce Agile Release Train (ART), plan and facilitate PI (Program Increment) planning, Inspect & Adapt, Activity Report Tool (ART) syncs, Scrum of Scrums, and System Demos
  • Coordinate execution across multiple agile teams, product management, architecture, User Experience (UX), Quality Assurance (QA), Development Security Operations (DevSecOps), and business stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery of customer value
  • Manage and communicate program-level schedules, risks, dependencies, and milestones; escalate impediments that cannot be removed at the team level
  • Drive continuous improvement across the ART, collect metrics, coach teams on flow, predictability, and quality, and implement process optimizations
  • Maintain program-level backlog, ensure features are well-defined and prioritized in collaboration with Product Management and Product Owners
  • Support release management activities: release planning, gating, deployment coordination, and rollback/runbook readiness with DevOps and platform teams
  • Track, report, and present program health and metrics (PI predictability, velocity, feature progress, cycle time, lead time, defect trends) to senior leadership
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise governance, compliance, security, and performance requirements relevant to digital commerce
  • Mentor Scrum Masters and team leads on SAFe practices, agile maturity, and cross-team collaboration

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management with significant emphasis on risk/issue/opportunity (RIO) management for cross-functional programs
  • 5+ years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master/Release Train Engineer using the Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework
  • 5+ years of experience in leading and partnering with cross-functional teams, involving key stakeholder relationship management
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Shiny, PowerBI)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Certification such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Product Owner/Product Manager (PO/PM), Release Train Engineer (RTE)
  • 3+ years of experience in digital commerce/eCommerce domain (platforms like Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento, Elastic Path, commerce tools, or custom commerce platforms)
  • Experience with payment processing, checkout flows, catalogs, inventory, pricing, promotions, Order Management (OMS), and integrations with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), automated testing strategies, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience with A/B testing, personalization, analytics, and customer-facing performance/user experience (UX) considerations
  • Experience in technical product delivery, Application Program Interface (API), led architecture, and microservices patterns

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $138,550 - $187,450
