Job Description and Requirements

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Service Auth team, you will design, build, and operate the next generation of AI-powered Authentication and Authorization services that secure access across the Relativity platform. You will build resilient, cloud-native platform capabilities that safeguard customer data, enable secure customer innovation, and support mission-critical legal workflows at enterprise scale.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Design, build, and operate next-generation AI-powered Authentication and Authorization services.
  • Develop resilient, cloud-native platform capabilities that secure access across the Relativity platform.
  • Safeguard customer data through secure and scalable platform design.
  • Enable secure customer innovation through platform capabilities and services.
  • Support mission-critical legal workflows at enterprise scale.
  • Solve complex technical problems and design systems for scalability and reliability.
  • Lead through influence while contributing to high-impact engineering initiatives.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on cloud-native or distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of modern software design principles and cloud-native architectures.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex solutions and own them end-to-end in production environments.
  • Experience working with distributed multi-tenant systems.
  • Experience raising engineering quality through design discussions, code reviews, and mentorship.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and incident response.
  • Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred
  • Experience building full-stack systems at scale using React and .NET.
  • Familiarity with performance tuning, scalability trade-offs, and secure-by-default design.
  • Experience working in high-scale or regulated environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$126,000 and $190,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
