Senior Solutions Architect, Private Equity & M&A

Work directly with private equity sponsors, operating partners, and portfolio company executives to shape technology strategy, accelerate growth, and create enterprise value across a national portfolio of investments.

Role Details

  • Title: Senior Solutions Architect, Private Equity & M&A
  • Location: Remote
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
  • Availability: Occasional after-hours support for incidents or escalations
  • Travel: Occasional, based on client and business needs
  • Salary Range: $140,000 - $150,000 USD and sales commission eligible

This is not a traditional solutions architecture role.

You will operate at the intersection of private equity, technology strategy, M&A, cybersecurity, managed services, and business transformation. Working directly with investors and executive leadership teams, you will help organizations assess technology risks, support acquisitions and integrations, improve operational effectiveness, and implement strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.

The ideal candidate combines executive presence, business acumen, technical expertise, and a passion for helping organizations leverage technology to drive value creation.

As a Senior Solutions Architect within DYOPATH's Private Equity & M&A Practice, you will work directly with private equity sponsors, operating partners, portfolio company executives, and technology leaders to identify opportunities where technology can create measurable business impact.

You will help clients navigate technology due diligence, acquisitions, integrations, carve-outs, cybersecurity challenges, modernization initiatives, and operational improvements while serving as a strategic advisor throughout the investment lifecycle.

What a Senior Solutions Architect, Private Equity & M&A Will Do

Executive Advisory & Client Engagement

  • Lead strategic client engagements from discovery through solution development and transition to delivery.
  • Facilitate discussions with private equity firms, operating partners, investment teams, portfolio company executives, and technology leaders.
  • Understand investment objectives, growth strategies, operational challenges, technology risks, and value creation priorities.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business recommendations and executive-level insights.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the client relationship lifecycle.

Private Equity & M&A Advisory

  • Support technology due diligence and risk assessment initiatives.
  • Evaluate technology environments, cybersecurity posture, infrastructure maturity, scalability, and operational readiness.
  • Participate in acquisition, integration, carve-out, and separation planning efforts.
  • Assist clients in identifying technology-related risks, opportunities, and investment requirements.
  • Support post-acquisition transformation and value creation initiatives.

Solutions Strategy & Value Creation

  • Develop technology strategies aligned to client growth objectives and investment goals.
  • Design managed services, cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and digital transformation solutions.
  • Build business cases focused on operational efficiency, risk reduction, scalability, and EBITDA improvement.
  • Align solution recommendations with client objectives, commercial considerations, and long-term value creation plans.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop differentiated and impactful solutions.

Pursuit Leadership & Business Development

  • Support strategic pursuits, proposals, executive presentations, RFP responses, and finalist presentations.
  • Develop compelling value propositions focused on business outcomes and investment impact.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, managed services, and consulting disciplines.
  • Contribute to account growth strategies and relationship development within the private equity community.
  • Support successful transitions from pursuit to delivery.

Thought Leadership & Market Engagement

  • Represent DYOPATH's Private Equity & M&A Practice within the marketplace.
  • Participate in private equity conferences, sponsor events, attend executive forums, and engage in networking opportunities.
  • Contribute to thought leadership content, speaking engagements, webinars, and industry discussions.
  • Partner with marketing to strengthen DYOPATH's market presence and positioning.
  • Share client insights and industry trends that help shape service offerings and go-to-market strategies.

Practice Development

  • Help develop and enhance reusable intellectual property, including:
    • Technology due diligence frameworks
    • Assessment methodologies
    • Service catalogs • Solution playbooks
    • Pricing models
    • Executive presentation materials
    • Pursuit methodologies
  • Identify opportunities to improve consistency, scalability, and effectiveness across client engagements.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and evolution of DYOPATH's Private Equity & M&A Practice.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Seven or more years of client-facing experience in technology consulting, managed services, cybersecurity, IT outsourcing, digital transformation, solutions architecture, presales, strategic sales, or related fields.
  • Experience leading complex pursuits, executive presentations, and strategic client engagements.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to connect technology investments to business outcomes.

Preferred Senior Solutions Architect, Private Equity & M&A Qualifications

  • Experience supporting private equity firms, operating partners, investment teams, or portfolio companies.
  • Experience with technology due diligence, M&A integration, carve-outs, or separation initiatives.
  • Experience within an MSP, MSSP, consulting firm, technology advisory practice, or IT services organization.
  • Knowledge of value creation planning, operational improvement initiatives, or technology transformation programs.
  • ITIL, cloud, cybersecurity, project management, or related certifications.
