Salary: $75,000 - $90,000

Position Summary:

The Senior Strategy Analyst plays a critical role in accelerating growth across RAA's e-commerce business, with primary emphasis on Amazon and retailer.com platforms. This position combines digital commerce analytics, marketplace intelligence, forecasting, and cross-functional partnership to improve online sales, profitability, assortment productivity, availability, and the consumer shopping experience. The ideal candidate is intellectually curious, highly analytical, and able to translate complex digital and retail data into clear, high-impact recommendations for internal teams and retail partners.

  

Essential Job Functions:

E-Commerce Strategy & Growth
  • Analyze Amazon and retailer.com performance to identify growth opportunities across brands, categories, items, and consumer segments.
  • Develop channel strategies to improve online sales, profitability, market share, and competitive positioning.
  • Monitor marketplace, consumer, and competitive trends to identify white-space opportunities and inform assortment, pricing, promotion, and launch strategies.
  • Evaluate digital initiatives and translate results into prioritized, measurable action plans.


Digital Commerce Analytics & Performance

  • Build reporting that connects traffic, conversion, sales, inventory, content, pricing, promotion, and profitability.
  • Track key e-commerce metrics, including traffic, conversion, average order value, sales velocity, in-stock rate, buy box performance, returns, and advertising efficiency.
  • Integrate Amazon tools, retailer portals, POS reporting, external datasets, and internal financial and inventory data to create a complete view of performance.
  • Translate complex data into concise, executive-ready insights and recommendations for leadership and retail partners.


Assortment, Digital Shelf & Retail Media

  • Evaluate online assortment productivity and recommend item expansion, rationalization, exclusives, bundles, and channel-specific opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, and Creative to improve product content, search visibility, ratings and reviews, and item discoverability.
  • Assess promotion and retail media effectiveness by connecting investment to incremental sales and profitability.
  • Support line reviews, annual planning, item launches, and retailer strategy discussions with fact-based e-commerce insights.


Forecasting, Inventory & Availability

  • Build e-commerce sales forecasts and demand plans across seasonal and core categories.
  • Monitor inventory, in-stock performance, weeks of supply, replenishment, lead times, and forecast accuracy.
  • Partner with Planning, Inventory, Sourcing, and Operations to improve availability while balancing inventory productivity and profitability.
  • Identify demand shifts early and recommend actions to capture upside or mitigate excess and out-of-stock risk.


Cross-Functional Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Align Sales, Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Planning, Inventory, Finance, Operations, and Data teams around e-commerce priorities.
  • Establish scalable reporting, common KPI definitions, and repeatable analytical processes.
  • Leverage AI, automation, and emerging analytical tools to accelerate analysis, identify opportunities, improve forecasting, and strengthen decision-making while applying appropriate data governance and human oversight.
  • Stay current on e-commerce capabilities, marketplace practices, digital analytics, retail media, and consumer behavior.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, E-Commerce, Retail, Analytics, Economics, Marketing, or a comparable related field; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce, digital commerce analytics, retail strategy, sales analytics, category management, merchandising analytics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing Amazon and retailer.com performance; familiarity with Amazon Vendor Central, Seller Central, or similar retailer platforms strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce performance drivers, including traffic, conversion, digital shelf execution, pricing and promotion, availability, returns, profitability, and retail media.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate complex datasets and convert analysis into clear strategic and financial recommendations.
  • Strong forecasting, inventory, and demand-planning capabilities, including the impact of availability and replenishment on online sales.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence executives, cross-functional partners, and retail customers through clear storytelling and insight.
  • Experience in consumer goods, apparel and accessories, wholesale, or omnichannel retail environments strongly preferred.
  • Highly organized, curious, and action-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
